We keep trying to find the best steakhouses in Austin and Deans is always solid. Lawrence took care of us big time. Drinks were on point and the food was unique, well prepared and tasted incredible. We’ll be back!
I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with my experience here! Such a wonderful server and the food was absolute delicious the crab cake, oysters, mushrooms, creamed spinach, filet, and billionaire potato were top tier. I’ll be back in Austin next month and absolutely will be dining again!
Our experience at Dean’s was fantastic until the manager made his rounds. We had a medium size group celebrating a birthday. We spent well over $1,000 and we were not allowed to bring in a small birthday cake (we also purchased desert there). We understood company policy, however we were told upon reservation it was okay, and our waitress said it was okay. It was only until the manager came around that it was no longer okay. He exhibited horrible customer service and he will be the reason we never return. It’s a shame because he ruined the experience at a fantastic restaurant. I rarely leave google reviews but felt the need because we were not the only group that was unhappy with this manager. I highly recommend Dean’s look at their leadership at this restaurant.

Had a great birthday dinner at Dean’s last night. We’ve tried several of the steak restaurants downtown and prefer the atmosphere at Dean’s- tons of energy, but we still enjoyed the privacy of a booth for two.The food was excellent, well worth the splurge- crab cake and the heritage filets were some of the best we’ve enjoyed. Do not miss the house made bucatini, omg, so rich and addictive. The service was next-level and we highly recommend sitting wherever Josh W. is serving. His spot-on recommendations and welcoming sense of humor made us feel like regulars. We’ll be back soon!

Celebrated our anniversary here last week and the food was really amazing! We loved the hot stone wagyu and the pasta. The ambiance was really nice too. Amber, our server, was also helpful. She told us about the crab cakes and that was the best I’ve ever had here in Austin! Didn’t get anything special for the celebration like a happy anniversary writing on the plate (expected a little bit because i always see it when i dine in other fine dining/hotel restos) but it’s ok. The chocolate cake was fantastic. My partner just loves taking pictures of food and stuff like that so it was a bummer. Overall though, it’s a good place for a date! Told my friends about it already and we might come back just to eat.

Food was delicious. From the oysters rockefeller to the short rib gnocchi to the bone in filet everything was excellent. Service provided by Josh W was great as well. Will make it a point to come back next time I am in Austin!

A traditional first class experience, from the manager to our waiter ( Amber) , my wife and I had a wonderful evening . The food was gourmet ( homemade pastas with wonderful light cream and seasoned sauces) . The manager is a true professional stopping by several times . Amber took the time to explain the menu and provide attentive caring service . They even presented us with a fee birthday dessert - thank you !
