I'm from Corpus and I love to visit this place when I come by into Austin. The vibe of the coffee shop is very quiet and peaceful. Adel was very kind and helpful, I wasn't too sure what to get and they helped me choose a delicous marshmallow vegan coffee made to my liking (super sweet) and the home made vegan Reese's cups were amazing! I enjoyed sipping my coffee and looking at everyone's drawings in the journal.

Horrific establishment lately. As a local, I’ve been coming here for years. The last few times have been really disappointing especially with the food quality, and today was down right disrespectful. I was using the printer-I’ve used it hundreds of times over the years. It’s easy enough & you pay before. I go in this morning, & it’s completely off so I ask the barista to help out and explain I’ve already paid but the printer isn’t turning on. She says “oh haha I have no idea”…. Turns away from me… As if I was asking a patron? I said oh okay, can you ask someone who can help then? And explained this is time sensitive. She said “haaa I’m the only one here…” and went back to sitting behind the counter ?I asked if she minds if I then play around with the plugs, and light switches, or if she’d like to do that and help since she works there and I wouldn’t want to cause damage. This got her attention enough to walk 3 steps closer but certainly not to help the only person in the store who just tipped her 20% - LOL - She said “I told my manager we should throw it away. This never works..” I told her actually it does, I used it a few days ago and most employees are eager and ready to help if a customer has already paid and the printer isn’t on. I asked her if she could reach out to her manager to help since I’ve paid and need this printed by a deadline & she was refusing to help and she said “no my managers sleeping - she sleeps late.. haa” I asked her what she suggests I do at this point. My mind was absolutely blown. I explained in every way I could. Safe to say me and the rest of the neighborhood are pivoting to Bennu. Get better staff & treat the locals who have been coming to you for years with respect. Don’t ever say to someone that your manager sleeps late and then ignore them when they want help.

I stopped in for the first time today and was charmed by the warm atmosphere, tasty drink menu and friendly baristas. Adele and Connor were cheerful and helpful and I enjoyed perusing all of the cute pens and paper supplies while I waited for my order.

Nice coffee. Vegan options. Latte was a bit over priced for only one size. Still good. Only option for milk was oat milk. Cute environment for studying.

Dear Diary Coffeehouse is an absolute gem and my new favorite coffee shop in Austin. I usually run into the baristas Conner and Adel who always remember me, give me a warm welcome and have made me THE best pistachio lattes I have ever had! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, creative and gay friendly. It is a women-owned establishment and they make it easy to support local with so many hand-made gifts for sale. Oh, and the vegan tacos? Absolutely delicious – a must-try!

We went here after our workout on a whim and it did not disappoint. I am not a coffee person so I get anxiety when people want to do coffee. However this place has many other non coffee options which was nice to see. I got the hibiscus tea and thoroughly enjoyed it. We also got vegan breakfast tacos which really hit the spot after an intense workout and is highly recommended. I do not think they make the tacos in house though I can't remember where they get them from. Either way, the tacos and tea are good and the actual cafe is very cute inside. There are a lot of fun stationary items to explore. This place would be a good place to come by and do some work because it wasn't super crowded and loud. I will definitely go again, most likely after my workout!

Golden milk latte was why I came. But I stayed for the local artist selection. Japanese stationary very expensive. Needs couches, soft seating. Good for studying.

The first time getting coffee I had no idea what to get, Max was very patient with me and they recommended me the Cleopatra. If you like Chai and Pistachio you Will love this drink. It was so delicious and Max made it with so much love!!The second time I visited I believe his name was Danny! He was incredible, I was filming for my YouTube and he took his barista skills to a whole new level. I really love Dear Diary one of my new favorite coffee shops in Austin!

Looked like a cute place to grab a coffee and a quick bite for breakfast. Coffee was fine, I wouldn't call it anything special. There was no food, which was disappointing since recent reviews and pictures showed food available. Just go somewhere else.

Great coffee, however the name of the shop was misleading for me. It's a totally vegan cafe. I'm a farmer, so all things from the earth are essential but added preservatives, stabilizers, chemicals.... aren't for me. Thanks for the coffee :)Vegetarian options: Vegan
