Went to dinner to celebrate my son's birthday. We went a while back and it was good. Tonight, no. Since our last visit, tables were removed and pool tables put in. The bar had a few patrons that were loud and rowdy. No other diners but us. I ordered oysters la Frontera. Small and really over salted. The server said it must be the lemon they put on. No, it was salt. She took those off the ticket. My son ordered fried shrimp. They were good but his fries were barely room temp. I ordered some onion rings that looked like they were frozen and over cooked. We won't go back.

The raw oysters were really good, I would come back for those.
Stay away from the Frontera Oysters, they were EXTREMELY salty & lemon-y. Also saw 0 crab on them. The fried shrimp were really good & the fries were good.
Ordered a michelada & barely touched it. Def wish it would’ve been taken off the bill. It lacked flavor fr. It seems they just put clamato & the beer together.
Atmosphere was chill, some families there, they were kinda dead for 8p on a Friday tbh. Also looked like they had only 1 waitress. It wasn’t busy so ig it made sense.
$66 is crazy for an overall mid experience.

Hands down the best gumbo in town! The staff is always friendly, the drinks are priced just right, and the whole place has that perfect neighborhood restaurant vibe. The new pool tables are a great touch—I love coming here.

Ocean Blue Oyster Bar is in the same location as the previous restaurant, “Deckhand.” As I looked at the menu, I noticed many similarities to Deckhand, and I said as much to our server. She replied, “This IS Deckhand!” I didn’t ask further, and my friend and I ordered our lunches. This restaurant is a mix of fresh seafood, some prepared with an Asian flair. They offer grilled, broiled and fried seafood, together with specialty dishes that are more Asian fusion in flavor and style. My friend particularly likes a good curry, so she ordered a yellow curry and I ordered the Swamp curry with shrimp. This curry is a combo of green and red curry. Both were very authentic curries and very good. Most of the extensive menu offers a great variety of seafood, and from previous experiences at Deckhand, I have always had dependably good , and sometimes excellent, seafood. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly and we received attentive service. Amazingly in these times of increasing prices, their prices are very reasonable and well worth the money. I will definitely be back.

I would give zero points if I could. Me and my wife have been a loyal customer for this place for 3 years, and today we’ve just been served with the worst crawfish ever. The meat in the tails are breaking apart. The shells are very soft. Some of the meat tastes really weird. You can tell these crawfish is not fresh. We complained about the quality to the waiter and he claimed it’s because of the end of season and “reassured” us that the crawfish is fresh and alive. Ok. Nice customer service.
Because we had to throw more than half of the 5 lbs away, we still feel hungry afterwards. Also trying to prove that we are not crying babies, we went to Happy Ritos and ordered another 3 lbs. This time, we had proper crawfish. We got big crawfish with tails that are not breaking apart. Their shells are hard like normal freshly cooked ones.

One of the ugliest menus I've ever seen. Wife ordered the drunken sailor and it looked exactly like a drunken sailor made it. The stuffed catfish was pretty damn good but having double carbs( rice & toasted garlic bread) owner was amazing offered us free samples

I used to love the Tom Yum Seafood soup served by Deckhand & was told it was the same so I gave it a try. It was delicious & filled with seafood. I didn’t give 5 stars for the food because the spring rolls were tasty but seemed to only have shrimp & lots of lettuce. No rice noodles or carrots which I think would’ve added to the flavor. I got my food to go & the lady at the front was very nice & made me feel welcomed. I will be back.
