Customer service was great but my acai bowel tasted icey and watered down. I ordered extra strawberries and only got 1 whole strawberry….. I did bring it up to the person servicing me so she gave me another 1 whole strawberry. I just think it's kind of weird to be charge a $1 per strawberry.…..the strawberry was not big at all so I had little to none. Didn't love it but I also did not hate it. I don't see myself coming back. I love the flavor of acai and I didn't get that.

As a Brazilian, I found this to be delicious and authentic açaí! I also love the option of having unlimited toppings!!! It’s a little pricy, but worth it! Also, excellent customer service!

A very nice and small açaí place that's pretty unique among the Austin landscape. As I understand, its origins are from Brazil in how they prepare their bowls (or cups, in this case). And it's a really cool concept!Every time I've gone the staff is super nice. It's pretty cozy inside, even though most times you would probably just go for take out (but you still definitely can dine in!)I especially love the layered açaí concept. You can get so many different toppings, and the fact that there are different layers in the cup always keeps you looking forward to the next layer; when you hit that next topping! The honey they use is seriously the greatest honey I've ever had. I NEED to know where they get it from!Highly highly recommend. Also don't skip on their vegan protein shakes, they're also really good!

"Thank you for the excellent service provided by the attendant, who was extremely kind. I was very happy to see that, even though he is not a native speaker, he was learning to speak Brazilian Portuguese. I really appreciate that."

Absolutely love this place! Personally I love how their açaí is in a cup and the variety in sizes because most places small is still a lot. The açaí is delicious and you can pick as many toppings as you want without additional costs! There is usually one person working but typically are very time efficient and nice. The place itself is very clean and cute and have a fun polariod wall which adds a nice personal touch. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for gooe açaí!

Great place for Acai!!! The day I went it was crowded and there was only One worker, so service was slow, but the Açaí cups were filled to brim with deliciousness. Great dessert for post jiu jitsu training!!! Definitely need to check it out if you are in Austin.

5 stars for Deep Purpl and their acai bowls (or cups??) and the unlimited topping selection possible! I am not a typical orderer of açaí but it is a tasty and refreshing treat for a nutritious dessert, sweet tooth option that can be indulging if you'd like! They hand you a card where you make your topping selections and then you get your cup customized, it was a little hard to swirl and mix the toppings in until I got half way through and the toppings were all very good! This reads as a 4.5 star tho bc if you are buying a gift card like me for my secret Santa present, I came in thinking this would be easy and I'd be in and out. The gift card is an e-gift card where the lady working the counter was nice but had to supply her own email and waiting for the email took forever, that I never ended up getting it! I did get the paper gift card with my recipient's name written and a promise that the funds I purchased would be able to make its way to her upon her next visit. A bit miffed that I'll have to explain to my giftee how to get their funds and acai bowl, but I suppose it is what it is and the service was top notch! Hoping this will end up being fine and the communication for when she does return and can purchase her bowl with no snafus!

This was my first time visitng Deep Purpl, but it certainly won't be my last. If I was able to enjoy my acai smoothie-in-a-cup on one of the coldest days in Austin so far, I can only imagine how refreshing it would be in the summer! Fellow Yelper-turned-friend Tiffany J. was able to join me and it served as a great reunion spot in that regard. There was a young lady who was attending the counter and putting together the acai cups during our visit, and she was super kind and enthusiastic. If you want an acai cup, they give you fun cards where you can mark off which ingredients you'd like. Tiffany and I went for 12oz cups, which I think was a substantial size. For my toppings, I went with strawberries, condensed milk, almond butter, cacao nibs, and goji berries. The cup was certainly on the aesthetic-side, but my favorite toppings (condensed milk and almond butter) were difficult to get to because they had sunk to the bottom. Was a nice surprise to eventually get to though! The inside has lots of varied seating and is super cozy. Another reason to come here to hang out and catch up with friends, even on a cold winter day!

I wanted an acai bowl, but my favorite place wasn't open. My friend Pree R. found Deep Purpl on Yelp so we stopped by to try it out. The young lady who helped us was so sweet. She went over the menu and explained the concept (you choose your ingredients). I planned to do the 8 oz. cup but the employee said it's not as good of a deal because you don't get much acai after all the toppings are added. I ordered the 12 oz instead and it was plenty. I liked my acai cup, but it was hard to get all of the flavors in each bite. It was sort of hard to mix all of the ingredients together until I got about half way through it. If you don't want a customized acai cup, they do have smoothies. You can add chocolate or vanilla protein powder to the smoothies and acai cups for an additional charge. The employee recommended adding condensed milk to our acai cups which I did. It reminded me of cream on a snow cone. The acai cup was good, but it wasn't the best I've ever had. While we were eating, the young lady that made our cups checked on us to make sure we were doing okay. Service at it's finest!

Solid acai cups (not bowls) with a pay by size format, so there's essentially "unlimited toppings" but more isn't necessarily better. More variety means less quantity of each obviously and it's difficult to appreciate. They recommend 3-4 toppings for 12oz, 4-5 toppings for 16oz, and 5-6 toppings for 20oz. Premium toppings such as protein cost extra. I'm not a huge fan of the cup because it's harder to eat from being thinner and tall. They pack the cup pretty full which is a good thing, but it can be intimidating to eat from (with takeout) due to contents falling once you take the lid off. Plus the hole on the lid isn't wide enough to easily dig in with the plastic spoon. On the flip side, the cup is nice to fit into any normal cup holder for transportation. Snagged a cup to eat and another to save. Acai blend is on the sweeter end, fantastic as a dessert and treat but definitely less healthy than typical acai (which by no means is entirely healthy, but is very nutritious). I would've enjoyed a less sweet acai blend but this one is still delicious. As for toppings, I found most fruit was on the sour side. Strawberries, kiwis, and blueberries were all sour which isn't inherently bad but the contrast with the acai is stark to the point where there's two overwhelming flavors instead of a slight contrast to enhance one. Additionally, I wasn't a fan of the bitter cacao nibs with the super sweet acai for the same reason. It's a very strong bitterness that's too apparent and the small size leads to parts being scattered across the cup.

Friendly and helpful service. Great neighborhood spot for a health treat. Will come back.

Incredibly addictive and so refreshing! Great value, taste and I will definitely be back! Oh also the service was amazing and the shop was cute just an overall great place!

My only regret is that there isn't one of these in South Austin. I would go there every day and get fatter than the Goodyear blimp.
