I was so DISAPPOINTED with these Tamales. I got half a dozen just to try. Boy were they SMALL!! I was asked if I wanted salsa I said yes, I got one of each red and green. I was not informed I was going to be charged for them. Also they were not good at least not to me, I'm still trying to get over the size of them.

I'm debating between a 1 or 2 but because the parking is easy and place is clean, I gave a 2. Service and food is a 1. Lady at the counter wasn't friendly and looked impatient waiting for me to order. There wasn't anyone behind me. I got 2 different kinds of tamales. Regular pork and spicy. Waited a bit for them to heat it up. Ate it after a few minutes, they were dry and not tasty. Not going back.

I noticed this place awhile back and was excited to try but they closed at 2 and so never had a chance until now. Just noticed they are now open until 6. The tamales are super small and almost tasteless. Many of the dozen broke in two just taking them out of the shuck. They crumble when you eat them. The salsa was bland and not a good consistency. Very disappointed and won't go back. There's just no love in this food. Wish they had Delia's Tamales in Austin instead. Much much better.

Delicious Tamales is sooooo tasty. I tried them for the first time and had the chicken tomatillo cheese variety. Each tamale was brimming with filling and it was just so savory and so good. I can't say enough about how tasty there were. And the service was super fast for takeout!

Austin used to suffer from a lack of tamales, except around the holidays. Not anymore, Delicious Tamales fulfill all my tamale needs! These are smaller Norteño style tamales, but they are packed with flavor. My favorite are the jalapeño cheese! They also sell barbacoa on the weekends, totally worth the wait. Nice staff, clean shop, fast service!
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian tamales are packed with flavor. I questioned the staff and they use canola instead of Manteca or lard. They also have a separate steamer to prepare the vegetarian tamales.
Dietary restrictions: They offer vegetables vegan tamales! They use canola oil instead of lard, but I cannot tell the difference, they are both amazing!
