I used to love this place, but it is so expensive now and the food quality isn't as great as it used to be. 25 dollars a person for lunch is insane to say the least for this level of food. Hopefully they make a comeback but I won't be trying it again for a long time

This is now my number one Mediterranean place in Austin. Great food, very clean, and everything feels fresh and well done.

We have not tried the buffet yet but there were several options for our takeout. I wouldn’t say it was the best Mediterranean food in the world but definitely will be back for something easy/different than most Austin food.
The samosas are top notch , 👌

There are plenty of options to have a full satisfying meal. Asked about the lentil soup and its is made with all vegetables, no chicken broth.
Good fresh food,
My experience was excellent here. The food quality was surprisingly good. It was quiet for a buffet, but in a relaxed way. The food was fresh! Another nice thing was the food was labeled, including ingredients. I highly recommend it.

I love the food but I do not like the price. The Buffet is maybe worth it. But their by weight to go is so high.

Not the Dimassi’s I remember — $23 buffet, zero value (visited Sept 2025)
I came to this Dimassi’s because I’ve enjoyed other locations in the past and wanted to take my son. We did the all-you-can-eat lunch buffet and, honestly, it was the worst buffet I’ve had—especially at $23 after tax. At $15 it might scrape 2 stars; at $23 it makes no sense.
Hot mains were the biggest miss. There was only one beef/lamb kebab option out, shaped into tiny, unappetizing pieces like they were stretching portions and undercooked (red in the middle. The gyro meat was dry, and the chicken was bland. Meanwhile, there’s an overload of sides and sauces, but nothing solid to anchor a plate. I’ve had better college cafeteria food.
I used to recommend Dimassi’s. Based on this visit, it’s just not the same. I won’t be back unless the kitchen tightens up quality (and cooking temps) and the value matches the price.

The food is great. My only gripe was that they were struggling to replenish the proteins on the buffet and there was a bit of a log jam. The place has a bright, clean atmosphere and all the dishes were consistently fresh and tasty.
