Would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic Chinese food in Austin. I would say they're probably the best out of what you can find in the city!

Anything with the head still attached I'm in! Meat hanging salty sugary drips of fatty deliciousness.

Arrived to this "new to me" Chinese BBQ restaurant and it was bustling with happy patrons. The restaurant was clean, the staff were efficient, and the food coming out of the kitchen was fragrant. Ordered fried wontons, assorted bbq and a veggie delight to share and it was delicious. The veggies were the perfect crisp-tender and vibrantly colorful. While delicious, there were only a few mushrooms and the bulk of the veggie was cabbage and broccoli. They bring out the food as it's ready instead of waiting for your order to be complete which meant that everything came out piping hot. That also meant that we got our veggies before our appetizer of fried wontons. The menu has a lot of variety so you are sure to find something you will enjoy and every single item we received was packed with flavor. The roasted pork belly had a perfectly crispy skin and the roast duck was juicy and flavorful. Looking forward to a repeat visit in the future.

I've been here before but it had been a while. No disappointment on returning. Clean, bright, and welcoming. Fast service. Delicious food. We got some bbq, veggies and wontons. I'd never had the fried wontons before and didn't know what I'd been missing! Will add this back to the rotation more frequently!

We've been customers for over a decade, we love the food, we have introduced several friends and family to what we use to call 'pound for pound, the best restaurant in Austin', but it can all come crashing down when a mistake is done and no responsibility is taken for it. Yesterday we felt like staying home and ordering delivery, which we rarely do. Despite having a Doordash coupon, I purposefully went directly to the website to avoid any middlemen delivery services. Take a look at the attachment included: nowhere it says that I'm now in a website owned by Uber but that's what happened. Not until I get my incomplete order I realized that the ticket says "UberEats". Din Ho forgot to include the main protein dish (Char Siu). When I called them to let them know what happened, they told me that they can't do anything for me and that I should call Uber instead. I told the manager 'No', you call them and you sort this out for me. After some discussion she agreed. Fast forward an hour or so and somebody from Uber calls me to tell me a refund was already process and it should be credited back within the next few hours. I was provided with a case number to reference. It all seemed to have come to an uneventful, underwhelming resolution. Fast forward to today, I call Uber and provide the case number, which they cannot retrieve. Then either the CS rep hang up or the call was disconnected. I call Din Ho, the manager I spoke to on Sunday is not there but the person who picked up the phone is somewhat aware of the situation and dismissively says something along the lines of: "Ah yeah, you're that guy." He thought he knew what the situation was, continuously interrupted me while I tried to explain that he was lacking context, and then had the nerve to say that I was the one interrupting him. At some point I told him 'we've been clients for over a decade' to what he replied 'maybe you should find another restaurant'. We also argued about Uber's visual identity missing from Din Ho's online delivery experience, he guaranteed me that it was very clear that Uber was providing the service (but as you can see in the screenshot attached, it is missing altogether.) Despite this, he agrees to call Uber for me but before he does so, to make sure we're on the same page, I ask him to confirm the amount that should be refunded (the price of the Char Siu). I'm not sure if there was a language barrier but he couldn't simply tell me the price of the Char Siu -- I just wanted to verify the amount of the refund. At some point he belittles my discontent with me being charged for something I did not receive -- as if I should just be 'fine' with it -- and then somebody else, a lady, grabs the phone and as agitated or worse than I was, starts to lecture me on how much time they have spent trying to fix this issue for an order of only $59, telling me how much of a pain I'm being to them, and hangs up. On our end the bill came to over $102 plus a little over $20 for tip to the driver. I was informed that we were given a $25 discount on the order but this is looking like a scam by Uber or maybe several mistakes were done here because nothing adds up. To Din Ho management: Delivery customers are also your customers. It looks like your partnership with Uber might be doing more harm than good. So sad. We truly, truly love your food but we won't be coming back because when things don't go as planned, you have demonstrated a complete inability to own up to your mistakes, passing the buck to your loyal customers. So sad.

I ordered the cha siu and roast pork belly and was extremely impressed! I grew up in Taipei and Din Ho’s food tasted as if it came straight from my childhood. Loved it so, so much

Everything I’ve had here has beenabsolutely delicious. The waitstaff is friendly for the most part. There is one waitress who needs to work on her people skills but she’s not horrible. Always clean and food is always prepared fresh. Stop reading and go try this place out.

It is a nice place to eat, the food is very good. But I have seen a waitress on 2 occasions asking customers for tips and in a NOT very friendly manner. Today the client ripped the ckeck out of her hand and went to pay directly at the cash register. I think that's not the way to ask for tips. The correct thing is for customers to leave their tip without having to ask for it. The service must be improved.

Our first stop. After my auntie picked us up at the airport she took us to this place for a late lunch. Food here is really good and came out quick. We ended up ordering the meal that was good for 6 people. This costs $135.95 and comes with 6 dishes. 1. BBQ combination - char siu, roast duck and soy sauce chicken 2. Crab meat fish maw soup 3. Prawns with special salt 4. Beef Gai Lan - stir fried with mushrooms and carrots 5. Chinese mushroom with baby bok choy 6. Fried fish in brown sauce We also ordered some chicken lo mein and steam rice. Why does steam rice always come out last? All dishes were flavorful and good for the 5 of us to share. We pretty much cleared all the plates. Overall, we enjoyed the food we ordered. Service here is quick!

This place never disappoints. It's been years since I've been back and what we ordered tasted just as good as it did 10 years ago. My favorite entree has always been their walnut shrimp. Love the combination of the crispy shrimp, slightly sweetened mayo base topped with candied walnuts. Simply delicious. Another favorite is their noodle soup. We went with their roast duck this time. The mushroom and bokchoy was also delicious but we had already ordered too much so we took the rest of it to go. Service was quick. There's nothing fancy about the place but at the end of the day, their food has consistently been delicious.

When it comes to finding great Chinese food, Din Ho does everything right. We've been coming here for well over a decade. it is still one of our favorite spots. We LOVE the family specials, and always add in a few extra dishes to try new things. We ordered the dinner for 3 with Char Siu, Soy Sauce Chicken, Crispy Salted Pork, and some Sizzling Chicken. Coming from the NE, no meal is complete without some egg rolls and steam buns to act as little perfect vessels for almost everything served. Service is always quick, food is always delicious, and the restaurant is always packed. The vibe is always vibrant. Grab a crew and sit at table with a lazy Susan to share everything with friends and/or family.

bring a party big enough to use a table with a lazy susan, get at least one duck, and order a bunch of random shit to go with it and enjoy

Roast duck was undercooked and still reddish in quite a few pieces. It was also one of the worst tasting ducks I've ever had. All I can taste is how salty and bland it was. They need to stop skimping on the marinade and spices if they want to charge that much for duck.
