Hands down one of the best tacos in the city. You gotta love a place that knows how to do something so well, they don't have to put anything else on the menu (though they do have elotes). I cannot recommend enough!

I think elotes is corn on the cob. Corn in a cup, or esquites, is what Discada serves. It wasn't hot, the corn didn't have any char on it, and it was...covered, absolutely covered...in that queso fresca or w/e they put on top. Tacos were fine.

Michelin Star tacos you say? I'm sold!
As another google reviewer previously mentioned, this taco truck was featured on JOLLY's YouTube channel.
The truck has it's own location surrounded by a good amount of seating where guests can converse and watch a movie on one of their dozen or so screens. A great vibe for the family (21 or older).
We ordered the 8 tacos and a side of their elote. The tacos are ridiculously small, but packed with plenty of flavor with no sauce needed, but if you do need sauce, then I reccomend their green!
The elote was good, and two people can split.
I am satisfied with our experience and I do reccomend giving them a try. Also, the prices are actually not bad.

Liked their old location better. Now it’s in a really annoying 21+ bar. So…can’t bring your family to get these tacos any more. Can’t enjoy your tacos without having your ear drums being blown out with awful music. Will have to cross this place off our list of places to go. Luckily we found some food trucks around the corner.

Heard about Discada through PBS Channel and we knew we had to try to them next time we visited Austin, they are DELICIOUS! I grew up with my family eating discada and I can say this flavor is unique. Must try!

Easily some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Great customer service & great location as it’s located at Chalmers which has a full bar & plenty of seating.

Not to be over dramatic but this has to be the best street taco I’ve ever had! There’s definitely a reason for the Michelin! And I have found my go to taco place in Austin! ❤️🌮

Look, I’ve eaten a lot of tacos. Like… an embarrassing amount. But the little beauties at Discada? These things rewired my taste buds. Each taco is about the size of a silver dollar pancake, but don’t let that fool you, they slap harder than your tía at a family party when you mouth off.

The guy running the truck gave us a full-on National Geographic deep dive on these tacos. I half expected David Attenborough to start narrating. I retained none of the facts, but the passion? Unforgettable. You could taste the generational love. It was like a tortilla hug from the ancestors.

Also… the street corn? Absolute sorcery. I took one bite and briefly considered proposing to the man who made it. Stephen from Nacho Libre would gladly trade all the Lord’s chips for just one kernel. Bring your stretchy pants for this one.

In summary: Taco bliss. Corn conversion. Heritage in every bite.

This taco was insane—hands down one of the best I’ve had in Austin. The al pastor was juicy with crispy edges, but the real star was the pineapple-salsa blend. Sweet, spicy, and smoky all at once—it took the flavor to a whole new level. Wrapped in a fresh corn tortilla and topped with pickled onions and cilantro, every bite was perfectly balanced. If you’re hunting for unforgettable tacos, this truck is a must.
