The food is so good! Though the brisket seems a bit overpriced and sometimes they only have Moist. It is still good
I wish the butter bread was back. The Texas Toast kind of just tastes like toast.
I have been here 5 or 6 times. The beans are good, according to my guests, and we all love at least one thing here.
If they started selling Turkey Legs this would be a biweekly or weekly lunch spot for me.
The worst, rudest staff I have ever came across, and the food is bland and dry and overpriced. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
The worst service I have seen in my life, extremely unpleasant and rude, I do not advise anyone to eat here unless you wanna humiliate yourself and be disrespected for a dry and unappealing meat and feed into customer dissatisfaction culture. If there was zero stars that would be too much.
The food was amazing. Especially the chicken quarters and carrots. We wanted something different then the typical Austin bbq and this one delivered.
The food needs to be 4x better to deal with how rude they are.
Slow lazy and seemingly dumb staff.

Alright BBQ places of Austin, close up shop because you've lost the plot - this place is the best BBQ ever and I will die on this hill.
The chicken was good. Pork ribs were not the best. I liked the bread because it’s treated with butter. The light spicy sauce came with the tray was pretty good though!

This place is a huge culprit of the ol' shrinkflation. I've enjoyed the flavors that they integrate with their dishes over the past few years, but the portion sizes have gotten out of control. The sandwich buns are surprising small and today the slaw on the side was about 1 tablespoon

Burnt ends and black eyed peas were missing the burnt ends! Very little to no meat in the dish. Misleading.
Peas were under cooked.
Brisket was not bad but the serving was very small. Too expensive.

I had the brisket and the chicken leg. Both incredible. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Highly recommend. It's at a cool place to hang as well in Meanwhile. Cheers!

Distant Relatives is fantastic! We got the brisket, pork ribs, chicken quarters, and black eyed peas with burnt ends. They were all delicious and cooked perfectly. I can’t wait to come back and try more!

Food was good but service was okay. I let the cashier know that I have a peanut allergy and she did not care. We got our food and there were two cups of peanuts on our meat of tray. I mean I guess a persons life is not a concern?!!

Such an interesting fusion of Texas BBQ with African flavors. I enjoyed the aromatic sausage and the pork ribs. The sweet potato was tasty too. The smoked peanuts had some kick to it...
