Love DK’s! Their house margaritas are my favorite, hands down. That says a lot for living in Austin. Plus, their fajitas are delicious. Always a great value. Service can be a little slow sometimes, that’s usually during really busy times when they may be short staffed. But overall, the waitstaff is friendly and kind.

I've been there twice and both times the food was great and the portions were large.

The first time I had their chicken fajitas. Delicious and enough that I had leftovers for next day. This time I got one of their soups. Tons of chicken and could barely finish it. Also delicious.

My only issue is the service. Nothing against the wait staff, they were all great, there's just not enough of them. Today there were only two (maybe three) during the lunch rush and they were running around non-stop. Whenever I needed something (water, more chips, etc) I would have to work hard to get their attention. Seems they need to schedule more during lunch/dinner hours.

Other than that though, the food was great and I highly recommend it.

Wife and I go for the Mexican martinis, the salsa, fajita tacos, puffy taco, queso flameado, and they are in the competition for best home made tortilla chips in the city

My husband and I met some friends there for dinner and they had a band called funky monkey. The atmosphere was OK. The food was just OK. Nothing to brag about. We did have drinks Mexican martinis, which were good. But overall, the waitress was very slow in bring us the olives that we asked for for our martinis. She passed us 2× a3 time we stopped and said can we get our olives. My husband’s food was wrong. He got the Beef chili Renlleno That was supposed to have raisins and pecans. Again after a while, my husband told the waitress that it was left off of the food and she said oh that’s the Cook’s fault do you want me to and put them on the side. Then a friend of ours ordered chicken quesadillas and she got beef. Everything was just so messed up after everything was said and done. We got our ticket and there’s a 20% on there and we asked her why is there a 20% on the ticket? They said five or more they would add the tip. Well she said that was for the band. So our total bill was $108. It was actually like $81 then there was a 20% $18 added. I am very dissatisfied

Attentive staff and spacious restaurant. The queso was a cheese blend that im not familiar with. It was thick and just okay. The nachos were a nice baked chip thick enough to hold up toppings. I substituted queso cheese instead of shredded. I didn't get an opportunity to try other menu items but would be open to doing so if ever in the area.

I came in while my car was being serviced and got a watermellon margarita and a queso roberto. The chips and salsa came out and were good. Mild salsa and thick chips. Drink came out and was delicious. I came on around 2pm, a few tables had people at them. Nobody to greet you and no signage to wait or seat yourself. Service was good, when they were there (most of the time no wait staff on the floor). Queso came out luke warm at best and the flavor wasnt great. I didn't come in very hungry, but the queso made it to where I wasn't excited to order food. Ok, but not sure I'd return.

The Music playing outside DK Maria’s just gave me so much inspiration that we should definitely have available living in central Austin texas. This music they are playing is unmatched and you will be dancing in your mind and in your heart… but at least it will be original. For that I multiply this star scale! 10/10 STARS! PERFECTO! BELLISIMO! EL MEJOR!

We noticed this restaurant when we came to thundercloud subs next door for lunch -- we decided to come back here for dinner that same evening. SO GLAD WE DID. Fantastic food & drinks. I got the chicken puffy tacos and a small tortilla soup; the tortilla soup is some of the best I've had in Austin. My husband got the brisket enchiladas -- it came topped with queso and it was incredibly delicious and very rich. The top shelf Mexican martini and it wasn't too sweet. Can't recommend highly enough -- so surprised The star rating isn't higher. The seating is very comfortable. The decorations are very nice. There's a great bar if you just wanted to hang out. The service was very friendly and very prompt; she anticipated our every need.
