The food was good! The pork had a nice char and the egg was perfect! The atmosphere/ theme was very on point and fun! Everything is self serve. The atmosphere makes it worth checking out!

Ramen is very good but not the greatest. Not sure why people think this is the best spot. The amount of ingredients for the price i felt was a little to much. I’ve definitely had

Late post Oct 23’Domo Alley-Gato Tatsu-Ya – Located in East Austin Domo Alley-Gato Tatsu-Ya was only a 5 min walk from my cousins, with a lot of thought and deliberation they decided finally settled on this place. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon and to my surprise with football season it was a bit quiet, which was good because we were able to take our time looking over the menu. They are a mostly outside venue with limited inside seating and is very dog friendly! They also share the restroom with the ramen spot next door. The atmosphere was that of Japan (peep the pics), very beautiful! Everything (food and drinks) was reasonably priced... We mostly got small plates but if you are hungry get the ramen but only want apps as a meal I would suggest a bowl of Curry/Chashu with Karage/Goyza. The fam and I got; Curry, Chashu, Edamame, Spicy Edamame, Korokkaaayyy, Gyoza, Katsu Slider, Karage and Negi rice bowl.Curry – Nicely seasoned, no meatChashu- Delish, basically a porkbelly type adoboEdamame/Spicy Edamame – Both very good but I would get the spicy, better flavorKorokkaayyy – Typical flavorGyoza – Came out pipping hot, flavorful and juicy!Karage – Can taste the marinade, crispy and addictingKatsu Slider – Yummm but so small for $6Negi Rice Bowl – OOOOoo this was a flavor bomb, surprisingly enjoyed this dish. Very savory!Shinku punch – Very flavorful and refreshing paired well with all the dishes!

In my top 3 best ramen I've ever had!! Mi-So-Hot was creamy and a little sweet. It said spicy broth, but I added the spicy bomb because I couldn't really taste the spice. We got their hot sake which for a first timer it tasted a little bit like green tea for me.

We arrived and waited in line to order food inside. About ten minutes later, we were up next to order. The hostess recommended that we sit outside (seats also available inside). We said OK! She said just head out back and order there. We got into another line with 15 parties ahead of us. Completely ruined the experience.

Such a cool vibe, awesome decor, huge space with indoor/outdoor dining options. We were luckily seated relatively quickly but the line got long QUICK shortly after we were seated. Outdoor dining was therefore a little difficult and a bit of a lengthy process to order food, as you have to stand in line and order at the bar when dining outside. It was a LONG wait for the food after we ordered too-- about 45 minutes. Luckily it's a separate line for drinks, and we had already put our apps in at that point. If we had known it was going to take so long we definitely would have tried to order everything at once, so I'd suggest you do the same to avoid standing in line for a long time. Good menu with decent selection of options. Not the best ramen we've ever had, but not the worst.

Tasty!I got the MISO-HOT, and it was spicy and delicious ?Also, I agree that the name and the decor are quite fun and entertaining in and of itself.

Went here on a Thursday night around 9:30 pm. It was fairly busy, most tables occupied. You order at the bar, and they let us slide in food before the kitchen closed at 10. We ordered the frozen Kirin, which I thought the foam was flavored not the beer but the foam is just....foamy foam. And then my beer was vanilla flavored with was weird, but not their fault. We had a couple other drinks ordered, nothing major stood out. For food, we ordered the chicken karaage, the brussel sprouts, a bowl of ramen, a rice bowl, and spicy edamame. The chicken karaage was a HUGE disappointment. It was a teeny tiny plate with minuscule nuggets of fried chicken that you dipped in mayonnaise. It was literally like chicken made for ants. The brussels were SOAKED in soy sauce and whatever else the sauce was that was very sour and made them inedible. They forgot the ramen until we asked....it was fine. The rice bowl was bland and also served in the TINIEST bowl, which made it super hard to use chopsticks. They also had cleared all chopsticks and napkins from the table for some reason, didnt bring us any, so I had to walk around and steak from other tables. I did really enjoy the spicy edamame, and it has a KICK to it. Overall, the vibe and decor is super cool, but was disappointed.

Menu changed and isn’t great. Service takes a long time and just serves ramen these days. At least go sit inside Tatsuya with the A/C

Super cool spot on E. 6th St. It’s like this hybrid bar that came out of Ramen Tatsuya the restaurant next-door. Very stylish and super chill. There wasn’t enough parking in the back of the restaurant. Parking was definitely a little bit hard to find and they charge until midnight.

I've only had ramen in NYC, NJ, and Japan...and I gotta say, I'm adding Texas on my list of ramen destinations as a must go to area because Austin have some solid ramen establishments here and Domo Alley is definitely up there. I don't quite remember what I ordered but I remember it was quite rich and full of flavor. (I blame it on the booze as I honestly remember much what was ate lol)

This place reminds me of a little tokyo in Austin Tx. It is outdoor seatings with the japanese style booths. The entrance is decorate in cat and gold - which was beautiful and pleasing to the eyes. Fantastic jobs by the interior designers. When you enter the yard, the bar is on your right and you prepare to order. We stopped by here to check out the vibe and start the night out with some apps. The chicken karrage was great and the edamame was surprisingly also great. The mixed beer drinks and ice cream ones were good to look at but not so much the best drinks. I would recommend a solid beer to pair with you meal. I would definitely come back for some summer ramen.
