Rib meat fell off the bone, and other meats were moist with great flavor.

In a city that has trendy overpriced BBQ, Don's is pretty good. I love the atmosphere. Their banana pudding and potato salad are phenomenal. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is the consistency but that's to be expected sometimes with BBQ.

Stopped here on our way to COTA for holiday lights. We had a great bbq feast. Since there was five of us, we ordered by the pound and ate family style. Brisket, ribs, sausaccommodating. Charo beans, cole slaw and fried okra). I normally don't care for that last side but it came our pipping hot and crispy. I ate my share. All was delish but I think consensus was the brisket was the best. Great bark, well seasoned and moist. Staff was friendly.

This is the best place for breakfast tacos. We've been coming here for almost a year. Esmeralda & all the employees are super friendly. Very hard-working people. The food is always delicious & they even crisp up the tortilla for my husband's breakfast taco. The salsa bar is fresh & always full. Delicious salsa, fresh onions. We always get a pint of the delicious pinto beans. Everything you need to enjoy breakfast. The floors & tables are clean & so is the restroom. Thank You to the whole staff & we will be back soon for our breakfast tacos. Rose & family

Great Q and sides. Long time customer. I would rate it above average for the type of business. Has a great breakfast to start the day too!

Ordered from Donn’s Texas BBQ via Uber Eats after a long weekend at ACL, and I wish I hadn’t. Honestly, this was some of the worst BBQ I’ve ever had, with disappointing portions that felt way too small for the price.

I got the 3-meat plate with brisket, pork ribs, and turkey. Each meat was bland and flavorless — it felt like they skipped the seasoning entirely. The ribs, in particular, were tiny, some of the smallest I’ve ever seen. Both the potato salad and mac & cheese tasted off, almost like they weren’t fresh.

The only saving grace was the fried catfish, which was genuinely delicious. If not for that, I might’ve thrown the whole meal away. Unfortunately, the sides didn’t improve the experience. The baked beans and cole slaw were the worst I’ve had anywhere.

As for dessert, the peach cobbler was okay — nothing memorable, but at least it was decent. And to top it off, they forgot my banana bread altogether.

Overall, this was a big letdown, especially considering Austin’s reputation for great BBQ. I’d look elsewhere if you’re craving something with real flavor and good value.

Mediocre bbq that won’t break your wallet.

Please stop putting piping hot fries or okra on the styrofoam plates or containers. It melts the styrofoam and your customers are consuming styrofoam particles. Use wax paper or foil to create a barrier between the fried food and the styrofoam.
