this place is actually really good. if you haven’t tried them, it’s definitely worth a trip. i get a pollo hybrid and a steak hybrid. the hybrid part is they add in grilled onions peppers and mushrooms, but if you just want meat, cheese, and avocado, get the normal one. i’m a veggie guy.
also, the guacamole and queso are great together and the elote is pretty good as well.

We were worried when we saw Dos Batos had closed earlier this year as we use to live around the corner and loved the place. Tonight we found out the most likely reason that it had closed. The service is ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. We ordered delivery through their website and there was an issue with the order. When we went to address it we got cut off twice from their assistant. We called the restaurant and the server said there's no way she could help us, and was completely unwilling to assist us. When food order did arrive it was incorrect and missing items. I called to let them know and they said they gave it to the driver so it's not their problem. The staff has no idea what they're doing. Sorry to say that we won't be ordering from them again. Sad because it used to be a great place

Decent taco but for $8 there could have been substantially more.

Best tacos I’ve had. If you want real Mexican tacos these are it!
Dos Batos has quickly become one of my go-to spots in Austin. The wood-fired tacos are on another level - perfectly cooked meat, fresh ingredients, and bold flavors that hit every time. The Hybrid Taco and the tortas are must-tries, and the tortillas taste like they were made just minutes before hitting your plate.
And do yourself a favor - ask for the green poblano salsa. It’s not on the menu, but it’s incredible and easily one of my favorite salsas in Austin, especially if you like spice. .

Pirata steak tacos are the best! Green salsa always on poin! Update $8 for a taco pirata? Not worth at that price point.

The tacos are good but small and overpriced and now they charge you for the salsa...I will not be returning to this establishment.. I used to visit several times a week but no longer.

Love the taste of the tacos here. If you're hankering Fajitas just snag a couple tacos from here, they're so good!
Been coming here for years, one of my favorite places to get tacos.

The food is fantastic. The shrimp taco was a standout. I was expecting good, this was fantastic. The pirata was so tender, the pastor was crispy and juicy, and the salsas had tons of flavor. You can tell the tortillas are made in house. I'm very picky with corn tortillas, but these are ones I'd happily eat. The flour tortillas are nice and flaky. The tortas use teleras instead of bolilos and are clearly freshly made. Fantastic.

In a town full of taco places, this is a North Austin hidden gem. Dos Batos is just simple, good, consistent. Clean and laid back atmosphere. The family cares about making good food.
