New ish dumpling spot with fresh handmade dumplings and noodles. They’re originally from Sugar Land, TX, near Houston. So hard to pick favorites since I genuinely enjoyed everything we tried! The soup dumplings have great texture, thin skin, and a generous amount of broth. The noodles are very well done, with a bouncy bite. The pork soup buns had a fair amount of broth as well, the skin is thinner than the bao-type skin you sometimes get with sheng jian bao. I liked the spicy and sour dumplings, thumb buns, and potstickers too! I really don’t think you can go wrong with any of these menu items. Definitely a winning addition to the dumpling scene in Austin.

I wouldn’t recommend visiting this restaurant, poor experience. The appearance and cleanliness is terrible. Restrooms are gross and there’s visible mess coming from the kitchen. The food comes out randomly so everyone at your table is eating at different times. It’s not timed appropriately. The food is not tasty. Came for the soup dumplings and there was no flavor and had a funky smell. The chow main had an odd taste, don’t recommend. The best thing we ordered was the green beans, that was actually tasty. A lot of staff just standing around using their phones, scratching their head and nose then delivering your food. Definitely won’t be returning.

Dumpling World does NOT disappoint. This is our 5th time here and even though we live south, we make the trip. Yes, it gets packed but the wait isn’t long. You are able to bring your own alcohol since they do not sell alcohol. We get the frozen margaritas with Grand Marnier from next door, Hop Doddy.
The costumer service is great and so is the food. The pan fried Thumb buns are to die for.

I thought the food was good but I got food poisoning very sick from it So can not recommend this place. I had a variety of things I think it was the Pork dumplings. I did not eat anything else since 8pm the day before So it was easy to pinpoint what it was. So sorry because I liked the place but food poisoning really Sucks So no.
