Great service, food was amazing and reasonably priced. We went for brunch and had the aguacate tostadas and gorditas rancheras (add the chorizo, trust). The aquacate tostadas were perfection! it was light and the flavors were amazing. Gorditas rancheras was tasty. The sauce!! So happy they moved into this spot. Its perfect for them.
We had a lovely, slow meal and our server even comped the dessert because it was my birthday!
I ate here for brunch with a couple friends. We all enjoyed our food and the experience. Our server was wonderful and we didn't feel rushed at all.
The chicken mole was very nice. It's the week before Christmas so the house was full. Whatever noise control they have was not able to make anyone more than 3 feet away understandable.
Many food sensitivities mainly oils and the mole and the beans and salsas and enchiladas were of zero concern no ill effects and tremendous flavors. I've eaten at many Mexican cuisine in Mexico City in different states of the Mexican Republic and the food was a nine on a scale to one to 10 was fantastic. My wife and I will be back.!
Just simple delicious innovative Mexican cuisine which outstrips all competition served by attentive staff in a brightly lit open dining room with ample “elbow room.” Many other restaurants using that space would have a half- to a full-dozen more tables wedged in, but EAS delights with great spacing among the tables so conversations can occur without having to raises voices over those at other tables. Their tamales served this time of year are a “must” ... best massa ever with just the right amount of filling that's spiced to perfection.
Food and drinks were great! We loved the crab queso and great deal for margaritas during happy hour would definitely go back
Our group wanted to avoid the noise of the larger rooms, so we were seated in a small side room. The food is lovely.
This just wasn't our type of place and whatever I read didn't accurately describe it, which is why I'm reviewing. It looks and feels like a Mexican Appleby's or something like that. It's an outbuilding in a mall. The food isn't bad and it's not just a typical tex Mex menu but we'd never go back because it's a 0 for experience. If you just need to eat and want Mexican food and don't care at all about your surroundings, it's fine. But if you think you're going for some kind of experience along with a casual meal - it's not that. Absolutely no charm. Our server was friendly.
The person who took our order was very good. Beverages were delivered promptly as were chips and salsa. She took our food orders, and this is where the issue occurred. The person who actually delivered the food had no idea who order what, randomly set the food down in front of the person without checking leaving us to sort it out. Granted, there were four different breakfast bowl orders, he did know which had what in it. The food was luke warm.

We enjoyed our dinner and the service was great! I will definitely consider dining here for dinner with friends in the future.
A great option for interior Mexican food. The food is delicious, the service is great, and you are not shouting to be heard across the table.
I enjoyed the service, atmosphere and food! I’m a sucker for green enchiladas and this was a success for my first time at El Alma. Plan on returning soon :)
