This Puerto Rican food spot, by the name el Coqui, serves the authentic boricua flavor 😋, all entrees are cooked to perfection, I really enjoyed the pernil, and arroz con gandules, with a side of boiled yucca with mojo criollo, I will recommend this Puerto 🇵🇷 Rican food spot to all my friend, and not to mention listening to the best old salsa music of all times, the atmosphere ultra enjoyable 😋

Best place to get authentic Puerto Rican food in Austin, the owners are very polite and welcoming, prices arent bad at all. Atmosphere is nice with music playing, only thing I could say is a music just a tad bit loud to convers with people at the table but highly recommend!

Some of the best pernil and mofongo I’ve ever had, if not the best. I also had the cubano, which was perfect. Plus they gave us samples of the pernil and a chicken stew before we ordered — if I had more of an appetite, I would have also bought the chicken. Bottom line everything was amazing and the workers were great on top of it
Came down to Austin for a training class for USPS went to eat the Puerto Rican food since it stood out and they did not disappoint recommend anyone who visiting to stop by to get some Puerto Rican food here will be back again

I drive around an hour to eat here, and they are closed. Next time, change your open hours to "closed for vacation" so as not to waste people's time. Don't come with excuses, please .Next time, I drive to Killen TX .
