Gama is the absolute best waiter at El Mercado on Burnet Rd.! He always makes me feel special when he sees me, greeting me with a hug. I have a special plate (a knockoff from a now non-existent Mexican food restaurant downtown) that Gama has the kitchen make to perfection. I've been a patron of El Mercado for as long as they have been opened and, unless something crazy goes on, I will always support them. Please do the same. This is an Austin icon!

The food at El Mercado on Burnet Rd is fantastic. Gama is the BEST waiter they’ve got. He’s efficient, polite, respectful, kind, and has a wonderful sense of humor. There is NEVER a time we are not greeted with a hug from him when we arrive. He also makes the BEST margarita in town! Gama is a keeper!!!!!
