I've heard of it but had it for the first time yesterday. I bought the half chicken. The chicken was delicious. The rice & refried beans was better than expected. The Pepsi was fresher than other restaurants I've tried.

Unreal. All I asked for is the rico bowl half beef half chicken… same order I’ve gotten for 10 years… never complained about the price hike, or the bowl size change… yes we noticed it. But to purposely stuff my bowl with tripe is crazy. Will never come here again. Y’all are a gross company.

I come here every day to eat and today March 23, 2025 at 9:00 pm there was a white girl with light eyes, the same one who has served me other times, first of all I must say that the attention of the cashiers in general at Pollo Rico is the best, they are super friendly it is a shame that among this group there are workers who damage the reputation of an entire group, this is the case of the girl I described at the beginning who got angry because I told her that I had not given her the drink, she told me that I had not ordered it and it is that the two-piece special comes with a drink included, meaning she should ask what type of drink the Customer wants, I told her this and also since it is true that I had asked for it, it is normal that she did not hear because she was not paying attention, it was the last half hour and maybe she was tired, I understand that too, but her response was defensive and using offenses, in short, she tried to justify herself and I only told her are you going to give me the drink or not? !!She kept fighting and I just wanted my drink, then I told her that I didn't put the lemon in it and she told me that I had to ask for it too but this madness wasn't over yet because the girl ended up kicking me out of the store, go fuck yourself out of here!! That's what she told me, a typical phrase from nationalities like Cuba, according to my studies it is used as a high offense but there is even more among the things she told me, she asked me what nationality I had, I imagined that she was discriminating against me because of my appearance and my language, then she told me that I had to order my drink in English just to make fun of me, this confirmed that it was a case of discrimination, I was very surprised while she attacked a loyal customer of this chain of stores in general and I must say that it is my favorite food, totally disappointed, and I am waiting for the consumer protection team more than anything because we live in a country of zero tolerance for discrimination.

Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.
Terrible service from the cashier. We asked for seltzer water and he didn't know what it was, neither in Spanish nor in English, he made a bad face and had a bad attitude that we had to take the drink that they wanted to give us.
We said we were going to eat there and they gave us the food in a bag, without plates or cutlery. When we asked for them he answered us in a grotesque way.
To top things off, they started sweeping our feet to get us out at 9:00pm and the place says it closes at 9:30pm.
It's a shame about the terrible service because the chicken was good.
