First time visiting an El Pollo Rico. The chicken was so moist and flavorful. The side dishes of rice and beans were tasty but the portion size was small for the full chicken meal order. Was really a 1 person serving or maybe 1.5 person serving depending on appetite. The added tortillas were good. The Jamica beverage was delicious. Sunday around 6pm craving for some good food and we pick some from 3 different places to try out different flavors. My wife chose pollo Rico and the reason was because she loves Gorditas. Long story short we ordered half of chicken and one Beef Gordita, all of that for about $26.00 the cashier was friendly and attentive to my order. Excellent 1/2 chicken with excellent onion, usual sides. I missed living in the neighborhood near the #2 North Lamar location. I stopped by at a slow time of day, polite staff and great food. Took to go, but the place was clean and ready for business later on in the day. Grabbed a couple neighborhood newspapers as I left.
