The chicken burrito is delicious. My kids loved their cheese quesadillas, and the pastor is also really good.

You know the food's going to be good when all the local construction workers walk in. This place has some good homemade food. Their specialty is the pollo asado. It is grilling right in front of you as you eat your meal, inside the storeThe half chicken meal comes with rice, beans, tortillas and salsa , and it is enough for one very hungry person or even enough to split between two. The beans have chorizo and sausage in them. They also offer other tacos and plates, from carnitas, to barbacoa to breakfast items. The store is located inside of the meat market. You have to figure out what you want and then pay at the main meat market counter. After that, take your receipt to the food counter and they will hand you your meal. The kitchen staff is friendly, don't forget to pay for your beverage as well.Come check them out, very economical and very very tasty. Enjoy y'all!

Ordered the chicken burrito and it was slammin'. The chicken is grilled over coal and wrapped up in a nice fresh hot tortilla. Includes sour cream and other toppings. I couldn't take the time to figure out what exactly was in there but it was sure tasty. At just under $9 it was the going rate for a burrito these days. It will go head to head with the best of them. In my opinion, this burrito takes Freebirds. They was out of caldo, more than likely due to it being so late. My wife got the half chicken combo, and she says it's out of this world tasty. The know exactly what we need with plenty of limes, and salsa. Slow service, but worth the wait. Drive thru only...no dine in.

The food was really good and the servings were very generous. My fajita chicken was a little dry. Overall, the best fast food!

I don't know why I slept on this banging chicken joint around the corner from my casa. I needed a quick meal that wasn't going to leave me feel like a dumpster fire before a 3 hour flight. So, the chicken joint felt like the best option. This did not disappoint! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. I ordered the 2 piece dark plate. Yum. It was soooooo good. It came with 2 sides (which you can choose) and I didnt realize and they defaulted to their beans & rice. The beans were amazing with jalapeños, onions and ham. The rice was a beautiful and flavorful Spanish style. The order came with 2 tortillas and a doña sauce. This was meal was more than satisfying! And for $8, it was a steal.

Delicious food!! I ordered the half chicken meal, a gordita, papas ricas, and two horchatas. The service was quick and friendly. I will be back for sure!

This place used to be on my way home from work, and I can't tell you how many times I pull in last minute because I just can't resist their delicious chicken, rice, and beans. I practically lived off of el pollo rico for the 15 months that I passed it on my way home from work everyday. I moved further north and forgot about this place, but now that I'm back in south Austin, I'll be adding this restaurant back into my weekly rotation.

First and last time for ordering at this place. My order was incomplete, excluding the churros. The rico bowl had pinto beans that were not fully cooked and rice that was hard. I spent too much money on such foul food. I will never go back.

Value? Check Taste? Smokey Speed? Lightening Just head here now, stop looking for other places. Get the half chicken and their scrumptious sides. Unbeatable price, unbeatable taste.
