OMG I am a restaurant Connosseur by hobby and this food is sooo good. The breakfast tacos are fresh made and it doesn't matter which one they are always delicious. I was sick this weekend and I went to try their menudo and it was some of the best I have ever had. It could have used a bit more hominy for my personal taste, but the meat was tender, soup just the right amount of oregano and they put pig feet which is another delight. It will cure a hangover and it's working pretty well for my allergies and cold. I gave the atmosphere a three just because its Rundberg (but don't leave I live in the HOOD, so I am used to the interesting atmosphere, and I appreciate the good food) lol but the little outside seating is quaint during spring or late night. Oh, did I mention the coffee is great I order a bit of cream and sugar and they get it perfect every time., its slightly flavored with cinnamon and piping hot. I love it.

The food is good, it hurts the employees, plus the girls at the windows, very bad service, always in a bad mood and they serve reluctantly, they do not give complete things.

Solid walk up taco stand that also has a drive through. Open late. W usually get bistec & barbacoa but the carnitas are good too. In “taco mile” strip of North Lamar near Rundberg so the prices are competitive with the other taco trucks and stands in the area (as opposed to other parts of Austin where you can expect to spend $4 or more for a not better taco). We prefer the flavor of the milder green salsa. The red is good too, much spicier. They take credit cards here which is something other small trucks and stands don’t always do.

El Tacorrido is one of our favorite spots to grab tacos. Usually for breakfast, but also lunch sometimes. We most frequently go to the Burnett Rd location, but have also been to the one on South First. My favorite taco is their Carne Guisada. It's not your typical Carne Guisada. It's more like a cross between carne Guisada and picadillo, with pieces of beef, tomato, potato (small), and peppers. I usually don't put any of their salsas on it, it has enough flavor and spice by itself.Today we decided to grab some lunch tacos, but we were already north of the Burnett Rd location. So we went to the one on Lamar. The drive thru service was fine, no different than the other locations, but sadly the tacos themselves were quite different. The Carne Guisada looked so different, that I thought we got the wrong order. Very little meat, hardly any sauce, and large pieces of potatoes. I had to put a lot of red salsa to give it some flavor and not be so dry. I thought it was just my order, but then my wife said, her bistec tacos were very dry, and didn't taste at all like previous visits. In fact she said the quality of El Tacorrido has really gone down.I told her it's just got to be the difference in this location, and I hope I'm right. Needless to say, if or when we go back, it will be to Burnett Rd.

I went to the tacorrido yesterday and bought a pound of carnitas. When I look at my food I see some large pieces of fat, without exaggeration they were very large pieces. My wife went to want to change the food and they told her that the manager was not there. I have been buying food there since 2002 and I have never returned to that place again. I don't recommend them at all.
