The pasta here was SO yummy! Our group couldn’t agree on which dish was our favorite - mine were the Gnochetti, Johnny Cakes and PB&J dessert! The Wagyu dish was ok. Service was friendly but not super attentive to our group, which was disappointing based on the caliber of restaurant.

Thank you for making my birthday and first trip to Texas so memorable. The place is the best! We tried all courses. I would recommend just the appetizers, pastas, bread and desserts - you won’t have room for the entrees because everything was so filling and delicious.

What a delicious meal. Amazing pastas and great service. It’s hard to pick a favorite because everything we ate was so tasty. Johnny cakes and pastas were amazing… we weren’t going to have dessert but we caved and it was so worth it. What a great spot! Atmosphere, service, and food all wonderful!

I ate here with a couple of other people and we all enjoyed our food and thought it was a very nice restaurant but not stuffy. Valet was easy and only $12!
Highlights were the cacio e pepe, the butternut squash dessert, and of course the sourdough with all the fixings. We all got full really fast, probably because we got a little excited with the carbs so maybe we would order more strategically next time to be able to enjoy everything equally. Our server, Tre, gave us a great explanation of the menu and we appreciated how attentive and helpful he was without being pushy about recommendations. We always had what we needed and things came out quickly but we weren’t rushed. He explained the desserts so well that we got one even though we were full and it was worth it! I enjoyed my experience and I’d like to return to try more if the drink menu and small bites.

One of the best restaurants I’ve been to. The food was incredibly delicious with unique flavor combinations, and the cocktails were outstanding (even though I’m not usually a fan). The highlight was the beautifully presented sourdough bread served with three types of butter—simply unforgettable

Cute small restaurant, friendly service but incredibly slow. Food was decent but absurdly overpriced (even for this area)—they literally charged $23 for 3 pieces of bread with some butter, a little cheese wedge and scoop of cherry jam (which came out nearly at the end of the meal? Maybe it’s just me but it’s kinda strange to get bread after pasta). They also describe the menu as “all meant for sharing” but a lot of the food itself is not really portioned or what you would expect for typical “shared plates”— seems like they just use this as a crutch for why the plates all come out at different times vs together.

Had an anniversary dinner here while in town, and enjoyed ourselves quite a bit. The food was all very enjoyable, though we didn’t cover enough of the menu to speak to everything.
Would have loved to visit when they were still doing their tasting menu, to have a better sense of if this would warrant a Michelin star when the guide arrives in Austin, but we definitely expect it would be in contention.
The Jonny cakes were delicious and unique, and we did try the bread which was quite good and notably arrived via a trolly cart with 3 unique and delicious different butters. Grouper was tasty, but the Smoked Mushroom “chorizo” in the carrot tamal dish was one of those incredible things you wish you could eat often or make it home but know full well no one else can make it like they do here. Vegetarians are in good hands here, despite the multiple meat offerings for entrees.
The one knock was for the beverage service - cocktail was very mediocre and received a warm beer (of the very limited 2 beer options) which is why 4 stars, not 5.
Service was friendly, warm, and knowledgeable.

One word, Gnocchetti. Do yourself a favor and order the Gnocchetti. I love going back to Emmer and Rye because I know that it will never disappoint. Service is amazing, food is so curated and well presented. 10/10 an Austin favorite.

first time here and it was delicious. tried at least 7 of the sharing plates and was not disappointed. will post pics of food but most noteworthy is the parking- use valet at $12 because parking at sky house garage is $30 for 2 hours yikes. construction going on so the atmosphere looking outside is not much but the restaurant is beautiful. staff was excellent. definitely get the bread w/ accoutrements and the carpaccio.
Parking: do the valet because skyhouse lot options start at $30

For its price the food is fine. The oysters were terrible. The flavor of the mignonette was overwhelming and 99% of the flavor. The wagu beef was surprisingly chewy. We got cacio e pepe which was great. Niocettie was visually unattractive but good.
It's a tossup if we would come here again. Probably try another restaurant instead.
