Charge what you want to charge, but keep service in line with how you value your food. Fine dining is not scarfing one plate after another. It is enjoying the company at the table. Pacing is key whether you are busy or only have a couple diners.
Emmer & Rye is a lively and inventive spot on Rainey Street, perfect for an evening of sharing plates and trying new flavors.
We sat at the counter, which gave a great view of the kitchen team at work.

Outstanding experience and food from start to finish. Reuben (like the sandwich) was phenomenal. His recommendations were spot on and he took care of us with such thoughtfulness. The food was delightful. Every dish was put together with impeccable attention to detail. The cacio e Pepe was one of the best iterations I’ve had. Ravioli was to die for and the PB&J dessert was like nothing else. This was a true experience and one we will return to every time we are in Austin....
