Im from Wisconsin and was excited to see a Famous Daves so I was very excited to see it here in Austin. Must be new because I know I googled when I first moved here and there wasn't such a place. ANYWAY this was horrible. Mac n Cheese Salty and Runny EW! Traditional wings. barely any sauce and cold. Put back in air fryer.. EW! Brisket tough and salty, EW! The only thing edible was The fries and cornbread muffin. I ordered an extra one and didnt get it! Where is the rib tips? Sorry wont ever order again. I'll wait until I visit home!

This may very well be the WORST barbecue in Texas! Brisket was awful, potato salad was inedible, corn muffins were super sweet, coleslaw was watery, and the chicken was super dry. The ribs were passable, but that's about it. After 15 minutes of driving around and around the evil maze that is Southpark Meadows, I realized the map dot was in the middle of a furniture store, and re-searched the map for Johnny Carino's, which finally led me to the dang location. I shared this frustration with the cashier, who casually replied, "That happens to folks a lot, yup" and shrugged. NEVER AGAIN, Famous Dave's!

The food overall was good. The ribs were delicious, as well as the chicken. The only reason my rating wasn’t higher was because of the brisket. It was overcooked and just was underwhelming. The cornbread is addictive!

The corn bread muffin were great. The BBQ and sides were terrible. They should not be selling BBQ in Texas. Not even close. Maybe go try Canada but you are way out of your league here.

Tastes like frozen food from Walmart. Definitely go to the grocery store and get bbq instead. Awful

Famous Dave's brisket looks old, was very dry and hard to chew. The ribs were horrible as well. I ended up given the food to my dog. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Awesome barbeque. I didn't get my baked beans and potato salad that came with my order, but I was still satisfied and will be back. 5 Stars baby

A lot of BBQ places don't impress me save for a certain grocery chain BBQ, so take this as you will but:The meats overall don't have smoke taste to them. It comes off as oven BBQ to me. There was some smoke flavor in the rib grease that some of my fries ended up latching onto, but that's about it.Brisket Sandwich - this place uses brisket chunks for their brisket sandwich. I've had these brisket chunk sandwiches many times before and they all taste the same - not good. It was quite chewy, which is often a problem with these, and also really dry. You'll get a mouth workout on this beef bubblegum. The buns, however, were AMAZING. It looks burnt in my pic but trust me it was so good - a lovely toasted probably brioche bun.Ribs - Ribs are hard to mess up. These ribs are good because all ribs are good to me. Nothing stood out for me here, but the ribs are a safe bet.Cornbread muffin - It's cornbread. It was good!Fries - Middle-tier fries. I wasn't upset by them and I have ample bbq sauce to dip them in.Mac n Cheese - This really tasted like bell peppers to me. All I could taste was bell pepper. I wish I knew this dish had pepper in it because I loathe most pepper mac n cheeses. That's about it. This place is in a ghost kitchen inside of Johnny Carino's. As such, there's no way to avoid the $1.75 packaging fee.

The people there were very helpful, the brisket sandwich were very very good and tender. I will recommend Famous Dave to my friends.

Toooooooo expensive.

Don’t ever trust BBQ that takes an hour to prepare for a driver. Don’t waste yours or some poor Uber drivers time.
