Fareground Austin is technically a food court, but it doesn’t quite fit the traditional definition. The indoor area is fairly simple, featuring a mix of small, independent eateries and a large, constantly busy bar. The setup feels a bit scattered—there’s no real connection between the different vendors, and the layout lacks the cohesive energy you might expect from a food hall. My experiences with food halls have been mixed, but I’m still interested in checking them out when I come across them. Fareground is probably the most nicely appointed I’ve come across. It’s busy without being overwhelmingly noisy, and there’s a decent amount of seating and space.
