The chicken fried ribeye was greasy and without any flavor. The gravy made it a little bit better. The fried chicken was flavored well. Very nice decor and layout, prices are close to reasonable. Some meal portions are bigger than others. Service was good.

The food was good, the service was good, my only complaints are that there were a lot of mosquitoes and not many gluten free options other than standard taco’s that could be substituted with corn

Opentable Diner

Beyond expectations. Had an early relaxed dinner. Can't wait to return. And those biscuits!!

This is a very nice restaurant with an elegant atmosphere. The décor is thoughtfully designed, making it a great spot for a special night out. The menu is on the smaller side, but I have to say—they served the best biscuits I’ve ever had in my life. Absolutely unforgettable.

That said, most of the dishes lean toward indulgent comfort food—fried or high in fat. If that’s what you’re in the mood for, then you’ll be in heaven. Just don’t expect many healthy or lighter options.

We came with a large group of 10 people, and every single person at the table raved about their meal. The food was undeniably delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back.

We are visiting Austin for a work event. We chose to go to Fixe as one of the dinners. It was the best meal we have had in Austin. Highly suggest this place. Ask for Donnie as a server, he was absolutely great!!!

Service was a little slow but very nice, got the fried chicken biscuit, so good. The cinnamon roll got me though, never had one like this before; it had different textures flaky and crispy on the edges and warm and soft towards the middle, and not too sweet.

I’ve been here for HH and sat at the bar and had a really nice time. Most recently we had dinner and our server, Jeremy, was fantastic. He was friendly and helpful and kept the beverages at the proper levels. Their biscuits are amazing, of course, and the pork chop was also killer. Keep it up, J!

Jeremy was an amazing server; took my wife on a date on a Friday evening ... ambiance was very nice. The food was great, just felt like the pork chop was slightly over cooked. MUST try the biscuits!!!

The service and attention to details were tremendous The pork chop entree is the best I've ever had - second to none - there are some pretty great ones around Austin but the one at Fixe is imo the best Served Over greens and a side of grits it was a tremendous meal My wife had the Halibut and raved about the taste and the perpetrations. The serving portion was a great value for the dollars spent

In town for a work trip and we really enjoyed our dinner at Fixe. The table started with the biscuits and also the deviled eggs. The deviled eggs were a home run and everyone loved them. The opinions were split on the biscuits with half the table in love and half the table feeling average. I ordered the lobster and crawfish pot pie and loved it. Others at the table had the red fish, salmon and halibut. Everyone enjoyed the dinner. As a large party, we were seated in a back semi-private room and loved it. The servers were also on their A-game. I would highly recommend.

It was our 25th wedding anniversary, I asked my friends for recommendations. I researched Austin restaurants… I decided on Fixe. The service was polite, but absent, a lot. My son enjoyed the fried chicken, but not the kale slaw. My husband liked the halibut dish, but, didn’t love it. The vegetarian dish, was actually offensive. The chef has made no effort to create something for vegetarians. Dry farro, surrounded by unsalted, no flavored vegetables. I am not a deer. I couldn’t even eat the biscuits, pork fat. The only thing I enjoyed was my cocktail. This was my bad, for choosing this place. Definitely, a once a done.
