Austin has lost the art of quaint cosy coffee shops. Flightpath has not!! I kid you not I drove around to 5 different coffee shops all within the same area (Hyde park-ish) hoping to find a quiet coffee shop where I could SIT (crazy to think coffee shops have very limited sitting) and do some work. Really cozy place, it has an old 24-hour diner vibe.
Angie, the co-owner was really nice and told me her story about starting here in the 90’s and eventually stepping into management with her co-worker.

My single critique, and this isn’t meant to detract from the quality of the overall experience, is that the music was a bit loud… but the place was also not very busy.

Bad milk foaming in my cappuccino, served in a dumb tall glass totally unsuited to the drink. Also pricey.
This is a place to get work done. Cafeteria style tables and chairs. There’s a focused & productive energy, but nothing comfy or intimate. I’d recommend especially if you’re local and not driving, but it’s just not my favorite
