Pleasantly surprised around every turn. Extremely enjoyable evening and had some great wine pairing that took it to another level.

Oyster Tuesdays are the best nights to go! Oysters from the east coast are the absolute best in town (and I’ve tried many!) I always have to get the popovers & gnocchi to go with for a very satisfying happy hour. Love this place.

Great service and ambiance. Some nice unique menu options. I found the food to be good, but not stellar, especially for the price.

I've been back for brunch and dinner on numerous occasions. Brunch is still terrific whether it's the Benny or the zucchini bread or the popovers or... Burger is big and juicy. We've never had a bad fish. Done holiday take out too. It's fun to sit at the counter and watch the kitchen action. The prices remain reasonable. Enjoyed sitting outside for a change.

Foreign and Domestic has an excellent menu. There are not a lot of items but they are all AMAZING! The Happy Hour is excellent and if you get there around 530 its not busy and usually you can still find parking! The popovers are amazing. So is the Gnocchi. Those are two of our go to items here. Enjoy!

It was wonderful to get a table outside because inside was quite loud, and it was beautiful outside. We thought our server was not going to be nice when we first sat down, but she ended up being sweet and professional. The food was delicious!

Brunch was (and is consistently) delicious. In our group of 6 we tried about half the starters and entrees. For the more “particular” crowd, worth noting food came out appropriately hot or cold and coffees, etc. were touched up timely. Servings are surprisingly substantial for a refined restaurant, so you likely won't leave hungry.

Had dinner with my Husband the day after Valentine’s Day, and it was just incredible. Service, top notch, food, exquisite, price vs value, amazing! Hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had all year so far. Pro-tip… happy hour is half off on apps and drinks! Can not wait to come back to this absolute treasure of a restaurant!

Foreign and Domestic is a fantastic restaurant. Their whole menu is fantastic but you can’t go wrong with classics like the popover. It’s usually fairly busy especially later in the evening so it’s definitely worth making a reservation but it’s definitely not a months long process like some places. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back soon.

We love Foreign & Domestic! I visited here for my second time recently. My partner and I love the lively atmosphere. We made reservations for the bar this time, and it was incredible to watch the cooks work their magic. I ordered the Parisian gnocchi, which is truly an amazing dish. Has a lemon-butter sauce that you will not soon forget. My partner ordered the Bavette steak. The steak was cooked perfectly medium, but we didn't care for the sauce that came with it, which was a bit smokey (maybe it's the chili oil?) I remember liking the dessert on my first visit, but can't recall what I had. There is an extensive wine list as well as beers (but no cocktails). This is a great neighborhood spot to have a delicious meal outside of downtown. I will return to try some of the appetizers and other dishes.

This was my first time and I was expecting more. Service was just OK. Fairly uninterested in us as customers. There were hardly any other diners and attention to the table was just not great. Four of the five mains came out together and then the fifth took another 10 minutes. Popovers were outstanding. The pomme frites and the duck fat potatoes are off the charts good. Burger was good, not exceptional. Banoffee pie wasn't at all pie and was just ok. Mostly whipping cream. And I think the server actually forgot about bringing the dessert at all. Probably won't go back.

Absolutely love this place! Having the kitchen out in the open is super cool and a big green flag - super friendly and knowledgeable servers, too. Went for valentines and with four glasses of wine plus entree for two, appetizer, and two desserts it was around $200. Wine was quite expensive but excellent. We will keep coming back!

Brunch was overall good, with some real winners and some lesser options. The pancake is honestly one of the best I’ve had in Austin, and the key lime crème fraiche is a wonderful elaboration. Frittata was a surprising flavor explosion, though the chicken on the chicken biscuit was fried soggy and overwhelmed by the cheddar biscuit. Separate from the food, the service gradually degraded from attentive to MIA by the end of the meal.
