This would have been a five star review, but for one important fact, my table was sticky. Otherwise it was a delightful breakfast. I had a great cup of black coffee and the Pork Belly Benedict, which was delicious. The staff was attentive and service prompt on this Saturday morning.

Food had no flavor. Got the biscuits and they tasted bland and floury at the same time. Chicken and waffles, both dry. Got a chai latte and one of their special lattes, no flavor. The espresso was bitter and not a great pull. The fact that people actually make reservations to go here is astonishing.

Good was dry and no flavor.

There are many other great brunch options in town. Food was extremely subpar especially for the prices. The restaurant itself is small so it felt very crowded and uncomfortable. Our server was fantastic, but we definitely won’t come back for the food.

Stick with the French Toast, Waffles, or sweeter side of things.

We’ve been here several times, and the food is always fantastic! Whether it’s the refreshing açaí bowl or the hearty brunch burger, everything we’ve tried has been delicious. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. Unfortunately, the owner/ manager had a bit of an attitude and wasn’t very welcoming, which took away from the overall vibe. Otherwise, this would easily be a 5-star spot.

Came around noon and server seemed a bit snippy. Asked for a kids menu and got attitude about it how hard is it to say I’m sorry no we just have the one menu. And where’s the hospitality of many I recommend the American it comes with all the essentials I think that would work best. Ordered the basket of biscuits. They were small under seasoned and we were not given any additional plates. Blueberry jam was decent but seemed lacking something to make it stand out. For my entree I got the Benedict hollandaise was bland my English muffin was barely toasted if at all and my potatoes tasted raw in the middle. Pretty disappointing. My nephew said his eggs diddnt taste good and I gave a bite they were under-seasoned as well. There are simply better places to dine in Austin.

I had a very disappointing experience at Forthright Café yesterday. I had a reservation at 12:45 PM, and while I understand the café closes at 1:30 PM, I was shocked by the rude treatment I received. From the moment I walked in, the man at the front was unwelcoming and made it clear he didn't want to be there. To make matters worse, I was informed that the kitchen was already closed for the day. First, I was told the fryers were down due to maintenance, then another employee claimed the entire kitchen was closed. It was very confusing, and it felt like they were more focused on leaving early than providing good service. I was told I could order something only if I did so immediately upon sitting down, which felt rushed and unprofessional. I had been looking forward to trying this place, but the dismissive attitude and lack of care from the staff completely ruined the experience. I wouldn't recommend this café to anyone based on the rude behavior of the employees and their disregard for customer service. Save your time and go somewhere that actually values its customers.

The service was far less than what I expected. The server made a big mistake, but sadly no effort was made to make things right

Everything was meh, except for the Bloody Mary, that was great. The service felt rushed and the food was just okay and one of my eggs was over cooked.

This place had great reviews and a decent looking menu so some friends and I met up for Sunday brunch. Menu was promising, coffee was good with lots of options. I appreciated that it wasn't super loud and busy. Felt like a nice little cafe. Service was pretty good, no complaints there. The food however was lacking a bit. It looked good but it was just really bland. I got Migas and it was basically scrambled eggs with mild verde sauce on top. with some soggy tortilla chips. There was no flavor. We're in Austin guys, if you're going to have Migas on the menu, they need to be legit. There are 1000 other restaurants with really good Migas. I would go back, but wouldn't order anything that was Mexican inspired because it just missed the mark.
