I recently visited Foxhole Culinary Tavern and had a fantastic evening. The wood-fired tenderloin and stuffed Lockhart quail breast were standout — beautifully cooked, flavorful, and presented with care. Their appetizer of kung pao calamari was a fun twist, and I loved the Cajun risotto tots for a creative side.
The atmosphere strikes a great balance between upscale and approachable. The staff were attentive, friendly, and happy to walk me through the menu. Their bar also shines — solid cocktail list, good wine selection, and the ambiance here makes it ideal for date night or a night out with friends.

Very interesting seasonal menu. At my last few visits I had: stuffed quail breast, steak tartare, venison meatloaf, and Australian lamb shank. All were superb, and much of it was sourced locally. Several creative and tasty cocktails.
Service was attentive and personable; server D had some excellent recommendations.

I always thought this was a strip club🤣🤣🤣🤣 but it's a restaurant. Never thought I would like herb Mac and cheese, but it was flavorful. The mustard sauce was amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone to come and enjoy

Unexpected find with delicious food, great bar, wonderful service. Quite possibly the best crab cake in Austin and a menu with lots of great choices I plan to try on next visits.
Kid-friendliness: The servers were wonderful to the kiddos. Had kid menus and crayons. Kiddos ordered off the adult menu, though. Loved the salmon and Fresh Tuna Salad. Nobody made a fuss about them playing around with me, at the table. Gave us extra ice cream, when we got a scoop to share at the end!

Our bartender was excellent. Unfortunately I do not remember his name (an older gentleman with grayish hair and I think glasses) he was very friendly, personable, and even though he didn't have the alcohol for the cocktails we were hoping to order, he fixed us up something else that was either just as yummy, if not better! We then moved to a table after an hour/2 when more friends joined us & the server was very nice as well. Attentive and helpful & got our food out in a timely manner. Overall, this place was quite nice! Food was yummy & cocktails were great! Would definitely go again and I've already suggested other friends/family to go visit.

Foxhole did not deliver on what I heard was a good place. The only good thing was the atmosphere. The food was ok, the burger had NO favor plus being dry. The worst part was services. The place was not busy at all, the waiter was not around. Had to wait for french fries because of miss order also only one refill on tea and water. Overall, would you should skip this place.
