Freebirds World Burrito

We used to love Freebirds over Chipotle because they had the plant based chorizo that was so good. We walked into this location for kids eat free Sundays and they didn’t have the PBC on the menu anymore nor in the protein dishes so we bounced.

Wow, Freebird is not the same after getting sold. I ordered online, showed up on time, and was told the chicken for one of my two burritos wasn't done cooking, while she was making the other burrito for my order. After waiting another 15 minutes, the chicken was finally done, while the first burrito she made was sitting, getting soggy. The rice in my burrito was mush, the potatoes you have to pay extra for, were somehow mush and so hard, I had to spit pieces out. Just not good overall, really disappointed I paid that much money for mediocre food. Just not the same as it used to be and probably won't ever go back, RIP original Freebird.

Update: AC is still out at this location. Since this location is destined to close, they probably aren't ever going to repair it. Poor employees. I wonder what else they are choosing not to fix in the back.

Great service and tasty food!

Freebirds is kind of like Chipotle but better. They have a wider selection of toppings for your meal. There burrito places are all similar--you get the same food in different vessels. They have tacos, burritos, quesadillas, bowls, and salads.

My favorite meal is the Beef Freedom Salad with the Tomatillo dressing. It's a healthy option and seriously fantastic.

They made us stand there for 10 mins while they get their register to accept The cash, we gave them exact amount. Asked the guy if we could sit down they told us no. Then realized the meat was raw so they made us another bowl then spit out my salsa because it was spoiled. Then the girl smoking a vape the whole time had the nerve to have an attitude & crumbled up my napkins and throw it on the counter when I ask for them. If I could give them less than one star, I would!!! Do not come to this location.

They forgot half the ingredients in my burrito for my online order. Charged me extra for guac and that was missing from the burrito too. I mean, what employee wrapped up that burrito and thought “mmm yeah this person just wants chicken beans and rice.” Hello?!?!!!! They missed guac, pico and cilantro.

I went on Sunday and had the worst experience,A/C was out ,staff looked miserable, no greeting just the worst spent money for a shitty experience!!!!

The food here was great. The ingredients taste nice and fresh and the meat has great flavor. I tried the birria and the carnitas and enjoyed both.
I almost gave four stars for service because a couple items were missing from my order, but luckily I was just eating outside in my car anyway. They were very apologetic and fixed the problem immediately when I came back in.
Atmosphere had to get a 4 star because the AC seemed like it was not working - the poor employees were probably dying because it was around 100 degrees outside. And I for sure as hell did not want to sit inside and eat so I opted to eat in my car.
All in all a good experience. I can always say good things if the food turns out well, and it definitely did.

I come here often after work and the AC has been out for months

I go here every Wednesday with my 2 young daughters for dinner. Food is consistently very good and the staff is friendly and efficient. We always feel welcomed and my kids love coming here. PLEASE FIX THE AC!!!!! You will most definitely lose customers and most likely valuable staff for this short sighted decision.

PLEASE FIX THE AC. These employees have suffered quite a bit as is. As a restaurant manager myself this is completely inexcusable on the part of whoever is in charge of this issue. Letting your hardworking employees go on any longer than is neccesary for these repairs in TEXAS HEAT is borderline exploitative and at worst CRIMINAL. please resolve this issue quickly for the sake of the team that MAKES YOU MONEY!

I love this Freebirds and the staff is awesome, but for the love of all that is good, fix the AC! It’s a sauna in there! Not a good environment for customers or staff. Felt almost hotter inside than outside.

Beware the "secret menu" sizes!
They advertise three sizes. The preparer will ignore this and silently re-size your burrito based on the unadvertised list. If you point out the difference then the cashier will accuse you of theft and refuse to sell you the prepared, incorrectly sized burrito.
After 10 minutes of "take my money, please" I had to abandon the burrito and find lunch elsewhere.

Its 25 bucks for a regular burrito. Its nothing special. They don’t warm the tortilla. Went there yesterday, dined in tipped them 20 percent for no actual service, there’s crumbs everywhere and everyone of the employees must have graduated from yap university or something. They talked super loud the entire time, played obnoxious music as I ate the perfectly cylindrical cold tortilla medium size burrito. That was my dinner and entire meal for the day and I was hungry again before bed.
