This is my second time dining at Freebirds off South Lamar. I reside near the area so take a walk to the place. Appreciate the staff for being easygoing and helpful. Their service is very good at the South Lamar spot. The food is super good! Who doesn’t like building their own burrito, bowl, or taco? The Carnitas was delicious! It’s the past because I ate it all. Pay them a visit y’all.
Update: AC is still out at this location. Since this location is destined to close, they probably aren't ever going to repair it. Poor employees. I wonder what else they are choosing not to fix in the back.

Freebirds is kind of like Chipotle but better. They have a wider selection of toppings for your meal. There burrito places are all similar--you get the same food in different vessels....

The food here was great. The ingredients taste nice and fresh and the meat has great flavor. I tried the birria and the carnitas and enjoyed both.
I almost gave four stars for service because a couple items were missing from my order, but luckily I was just eating outside in my car anyway. They were very apologetic and fixed the problem immediately when I came back in.
Atmosphere had to get a 4 star because the AC seemed like it was not working - the poor employees...
