Maybe 2oz of chicken in my chicken bol. Staff friendly. But overpriced hype for the food.

I don't understand the low rating here... Fresa's is awesome! Beautiful outdoor patio dining, it's a great place to come with a group and order large plates for sharing. We got all 4 of the big wood grilled meals, two different kinds of chicken, skirt steak, and shrimp. Also, these may be the best corn chips I've ever had anywhere on the planet. I don't know how they make them but they're awesome. Finish it off with churros and some coffee toffee crunch ice cream, you can't go wrong!

Dinner at this place is an absolute yes. The chicken, the margaritas the sides are all outstanding, hot fresh out of the kitchen. We decided to give breakfast or brunch a try and we ordered some breakfast tacos. They are small, the size of a street taco but they do have a lot of filling. As soon as we ordered, they came out very quickly wrapped in a foil with a sticker on them like you get at the gas station or Buccee's. When we open them they were the temperature of the room. Mine was supposed to have brisket, egg and avocado. There was two crumbles of brisket mixed with cold wet eggs. I spoke with the manager she said they were made fresh, but there was absolutely no way those cold eggs were hot off the grill. I would've appreciated the manager being honest because if you order breakfast tacos, they come in a basket. They don't come wrapped in foil with a sticker on them lukewarm. I think they should stick with lunch and dinner.

Horrible horrible service! We sat for at least 20 minutes and no one cane to wait on us... we asked the hostess for a waiter... still no service.. then she came to the table and said they were working on it... the restaurant was packed. I felt discriminated against. Would not be going back. Horrible

EXPENSIVE! Holy cow. I was not expecting a couple of margaritas, nachos, and one entree shared to be over $100. Fresa's has good fresh food but it's nothing out of the world or to write home about. For how casual the menu and dining is, it should not be so expensive. Extremely overpriced. The nachos were a let down they were 6 chips with beans and cheese melted on them. And margaritas were delicious but so small. Dog friendly patio. I would love to come back here but don't want to spend over $100 for a small dinner. Pros: good quality food, yummy drinks, dog friendly Cons: slower service, expensive

Great location and ambience. Brisket hash (brunch), queso and breakfast/mezcal margaritas are well done. We finished with some house made rocky road ice cream which was amazing. They do a phenomenal job of blending flavors and really delivering a well rounded experience.

I recently dined at Fresa's Mexican restaurant on S 1st St., with a group of friends and I can't stop thinking about it! The food was incredibly delicious and juicy, especially the tacos which were not only filling but also amazing in flavor. And let's not forget the margaritas - they were absolutely refreshing!! The outside area had such a great vibe, perfect for enjoying a meal with friends or family. Additionally, the service was attentive and made the whole dining experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for Mexican cuisine with a fantastic atmosphere!

The restaurant includes an extensive menu of flavors that are not common in the northern part of Mexico, the main seasoning being Achiote. We’re really enjoyed the bowls that are served generously as a variety of ingredients, each other distinctive flavor, that when you combine them, they melt in your mouth and create a new flavor bite very time. the restaurant is located in a wonderfully shaded backyard. That includes amazing trees. They seem prepared for hot weather, since every angle is covered with fans that will keep you cool in the warmer time. The restaurant inside is delicately decorated with Mexican style details. The service was diligent and friendly. The fact that it’s pet friendly makes it very entertaining and you can enjoy the view of the different kinds of dogs that visit.

Delicious food, great atmosphere. Sat outside. Dined with our kids, everyone was happy with their meal. We got a whole chicken #1, rice, beans, tortillas, and the grilled beets. Yum. Kids had El Niño taco and pío pío taco, plus guacamole, chips and salsa. Happy tummies all around. I wish we had this place in San Diego!Kid-friendliness: Perfect for kids. Large Outdoor area, kid friendly food options. Relaxed atmosphere.
