The food was very yummy. My belly was nice and full after I finished eating. I ordered the ribs and sausage, coleslaw, and cornbread. The gentleman that took my order was extremely kind and hospitable. The indoor seating area at the time did not have the A/C working, it might have been out of order. This is a no-frills establishment.

The BEST food my husband and I have had out in a long time!! Very friendly , such big portions, & DELICIOUS!!! We will definitely be coming back next time we come to Austin!

Right there under our noses! The warmest of owners and the tastiest of comfort/soul food. COVID hit these guys hard, but they are still standing and a very worthy stop for a solid visit to old school welcome home food.We had the Wednesday meatloaf. Lovely.

I literally ate there every day it was open last week. Often times I got two meals. One for lunch and other for dinner. My favorite meal was their chicken and dressing. Dressing is legit. Greens are good. Like you're at home and can eat a plate of dressing and greens. Service is polite and fast. I love that I get in and out. I can't keep eating here or all the working out won't do me any good. P.S. I think it's time to upgrade the tablecloths.

Don't judge a book by its cover like I almost did. Go inside it's worth it. Friendly atmosphere, they checked on us a few times andthe food was outstanding pork chops flavourful with mashed potatoes and gravy and oh lawd the greens and cornbread,sweet tea with a slice of strawberry cake.
