I’ve been to Garbo’s several times and honestly, I really enjoy the place. The atmosphere is great, and Carlos, our server, has always been incredibly attentive—service is consistently top-notch.
That said, my main issue with the restaurant is the pricing. For such a casual spot, it feels excessively expensive, especially considering the portion sizes. The fried calamari were very small: definitely not a shareable appetizer, which is usually expected for that type of dish. The smoked fish dip was delicious, though I do wish the bread had been toasted a bit more to balance out the texture.
They also have an outdoor park area, which is great if you’re coming with kids or spending time with family.
Overall, great lobster rolls and a great place with great service but the value could be improved.

Garbo’s is known for their New England-style lobster. We usually get the lobster rolls when we go, but this time we tried the whole lobster (1 for $40 or 2 for $65) with a side of toast (8/10). It was a cool experience and very fresh. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts (5/10) — they were a bit cold and tasted burnt; and the fried calamari (6/10). The food is overall good especially if you’re craving lobster or lobster rolls.
The vibes are laid-back and coastal and they also have a nice outdoor patio. Will definitely return to try something else on the menu.

I wish I took a picture of my food. Tried their happy hour menu Crab Ragoons but the real star was the Lobster Grilled Cheese. The ice cream next door has great prices and is refreshing

It is always an adventure to eat seafood in Texas. The lobster came out perfect. The meat was sweet and not chewy. The hostess at the front desk was nice.

The Connecticut Lobster roll is amazing. I'm more of a warm to hot seafood lover but the mahi mahi dip was DIVINE. Bill was every bit of 90 bucks. Service was wonderful, our beautiful waitress even brought goldfish snacks to our daughter 😁 will be returning

The waitress was friendly but not knowledgeable. She didn’t know it was lobster fest today, NOR, Memorial Day free ice cream for veterans! She didnt ask her supervisor, initially told me neither were true. I think as a waitress your first moment at work is to review specials and inform your clients of same, not have to be told by your clients and then tell them it was not true only to have to come back and reaffirm what was already stated on the billboard walking into the restaurant. The fish and chips were not as good as when they were located in Wells branch . The fish was crispy outside, but was mushy inside , so that was a disappointment. Lobster sandwich was good.

Food very disappointing! Not any better than Long John Silvers! We had the lobster Mac and cheese, zero flavor just like it was made from boxed Mac and cheese with a few chewy pieces of lobster thrown on top! We had to add salt, pepper, hot sauce to make it edible and could only eat half of it! The only good part of fish and chips were the fries! Cost $128 never again!
Legit better lobster rolls than we have had in Maine. Plus their champagne vinegrette dressing is the nectar of the gods!!!
