Garrison does not disappoint, or hold back on flavor and style. The plates were beautiful, and the place was clean and comfortable. Our server did a great job and knew the menu in and out. I would be shocked if the team here wasn't awarded a star in 2026. I will be back with everyone I know to show them how great this place is.

Every time we dine here I ask myself why it has been so long since last time! Every bite is delicious and carefully crafted. The service is exceptional in that they make each guest feel incredibly welcome and keep the experience relaxed. Garrison should become an Austin dining institution for smoke kissed food in the same way Fonda San Miguel is for interior Mexican. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation already.

Overall very good. Did leave a little hungry due to the small portion sizes. But I suppose that's what to expect from high end restaurants. Also I was slightly disappointed that it was my birthday and they didn't do anything special for me.

Chef Jacob's new menu is truly top-tier. From the very first bite, it was clear that every detail was intentional and thoughtfully executed. We began with the house-made sourdough, served alongside beautifully presented French butter adorned with delicate floral accents, followed by the beef tartare. The tartare, paired with pillowy potato bread, quite literally melted in your mouth. Next came the Bigeye tuna tataki, which was absolutely mouth-watering — fresh, vibrant, and perfectly balanced in flavor. For the mains, everything came off the post oak–fired grill, which proved to be a total game changer. The subtle smokiness added incredible depth and character to each dish. We ordered the smoked cabbage, the petite tender, and the 12-day dry-aged duck. While every dish impressed, the petite tender was the standout. Cooked to perfection and paired with a rich, silky sauce foyot, it elevated the steak to an unforgettable level. To finish the evening, we indulged in three of the most decadent desserts — the perfect ending to an exceptional dining experience.

Everything was so bomb!!!! Chef Jakub did a great job per usual and we loved everything so much. Porterhouse was massive and very tasty. We really liked the beef tartare and grilled oysters. It was such an experience, we were so full but couldn't stop stuffing our faces. The servers were also very attentive and helpful. Will come back soon !!!!!

This place should have one or two Michelin stars! Absolutely incredible food, and incredible service. Chef Kuba is a master at his Kraft and everything was absolutely beautiful. I came here for my birthday and it was literally one of the best meals I've had in my entire life.  If you are looking for a Michelin star experience, this is the place you want to be in Austin. All the ingredients are the best of the best and everything is so beautifully plated and so artfully made it's almost too pretty to eat... Almost!  An absolutely wonderful experience all around! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I dined at Garrison last night, Chef Jakub, the restaurant's executive chef, rolled out his newly launched menu last night, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone—warm, refined, and thoughtfully designed with an open kitchen. Every dish was executed with precision and creativity. The flavors were balanced beautifully, and the presentation was immaculate—almost too stunning to eat. You can genuinely taste the care and craftsmanship that goes into each course. The service was equally impressive. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, it was one of the most memorable meals I've had in a long time. If you're looking for a place that delivers exceptional food, impeccable service, and an elevated dining experience from start to finish, I cannot recommend Garrison enough.

The steak was exceptional. They were out of a lot of things on the menu, and the octopus was overcooked and dry. I wish they had a little more nice lighting by the chef table area. Wine selections mainly California.. would go again for a steak if nothing else.

We decided to celebrate our anniversary at the Garrison. They did an amazing job making our night special. Our waiter was knowledgeable about food and wine pairing. The staff was very friendly throughout the night. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the caviar for starters, the porterhouse and Caesar salad as our main and Pistachio Cream Filled Choux, Black Cherry Gelato, Candied Pistachios for dessert. They would come out with small bites throughout to add to the experience. Of course it was a bit pricey, but for the quality and the choices we made, it was expected. Overall it was it was a great experience and I would recommend it.

Our server said they were short wine lists so he took ours back when we sat down. We received a wine list after our 2nd course and didn't receive our wine until we were half finished with our entre course. It took a manager to find the bottle that we ordered. We kept seeing everyone walking in with a glass of something sparkling. When we left we were told reservation guests receive a complimentary glass. We never received one even though we had a reservation. The food was amazing so the back of the house gets 5 stars while the front of the house gets 1 star for an average score of 3.

Garrison! What an incredible establishment! I was lucky enough to be seated at the counter. As I watched the people work in the kitchen, I watched them do such automated tasks with such precision. As if they were surgeons using a scalpel, their attention to detail was incredible. The kitchen was on point and the organization was unimaginable. The ingredients were so fresh, so well cared for, and so well executed in their recipes. As I observed their magic, I was immediately transformed into a time of place that I couldn’t fathom. I don’t think I’ll ever remember, or will ever understand completely this experience, but I highly recommend anyone who comes to this restaurant to sit back and relax, open up their mind up and enjoy. The experience will be memorable and most importantly, legendary. HIGHLY Recommend!!
