In my opinion, Golden Chick is the best fried chicken in Texas. The spicy tenders are a must try in my opinion. They also have amazing fresh rolls that I always use to make tinder sandwiches. The battered fries are amazing if you get them fresh out of the fryer, though they become soggy pretty quick, so start with them!This location is pretty ok, but I’ve had more issues with quality at this location than the Round Rock location. RR is on point 100% of the time.

If you are going to have somebody on drive thru who has a language barrier, have somebody else who can speak English to assist. Had to tell the guy 6 times what we wanted. Then he coughs attitude at the window. Great for you that you are trying to work and earn a living, yet you horrible at just basic communication.Parking: CRAPPY pot hole parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: No accessible door. Isn't that part of ADA law they should be fined or sued.
They are all very friendly and they make the meals very tasty. I congratulate them and for that I give them 5 stars.

Heard that golden chick was really good, so I was surprised to see a well stock counter of chicken and sides ready for purchase when I went to see for myself. The food was excellent and fresh. I will go back to that location.Oh, and the restaurant area and counter is really clean and neat.It’s a very well run restaurant.
Just ordered a crispy chicken sandwich & a large spicy chicken strip meal with 2 big reds and large jalapeno poppers. The chicken is ALWAYS fresh & tender! The man at the drive thru window is always so nice! My order is ALWAYS correct. Thank you for your hard work and great food! You are AMAZING!

I usually don't order from this location for this reason. The picture below is what they consistently serve for a $4 side of rice. I don't think I need to explain how much of a rip off this is. I guess I will go back to ordering from the Round Rock location, they're much better.
The food itself is good. What the issue is, when we asked for the key to the restroom, the staff looked at us crazy. They said someone was in there. We sat back down. This other group of people came in, asked for the key and was immediately given the key. No one ever came in or out of the restroom. I don’t know why we weren’t ever given the key to begin with. We went BACK in line for the key once more and was given it instantly. I don’t understand what the issue was, we were eating what we ordered inside, no one else was eating, at most there were 2 people in the drive-thru. Disappointed, wont be going back to this location.

Recently visited Golden Chick because we had heard great things about it. We don’t have it in Utah so we were excited to try it. There was a mistake with our order and the owner (manager?) was very kind and apologetic and fixed the problem right away. The food was delicious and we will definitely go back the next time we’re in Austin. :)
