Looks run down from outside- like it's hard to tell if they're even open. But once you get inside it's clean and nice. They have an expansive menu, with beef, lamb, veggie options, and a full bar. I've been twice now and both times had excellent food. I recommend the vegetarian combo. They're fast, and the prices are reasonable. Maybe $20/person if you don't order drinks.

Friendly, quick service. Easy parking. Okay food. $20 for combo. They need bigger portions of the lentils and Shiro. Ran out too quickly. I'd go again...
great flavors and variety of dishes, great brunch spot.

We came here a little before 5:00 p.m. Outside the place did not look promising but at least inside it was empty. But the food was pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, good. (Channel your inner Larry David here.) Boyfriend recommended we try the Tej, a fermented honey wine with notes of balsamic vinegar with the cloying sweetness of a Gewurtraminer. It was perfect for the food. I loved the spongy bread. The service was great and I liked the woodsy spicy smell of a Cost Plus. Planning on going to more Ethiopian restaurants in the future. I like eating with my hands.

My first time trying Ethiopian food. The servings were huge! The food was delicious.

I was visiting a friend and each time I come to Austin, I make a point of going to Habesha. The food was always fresh and delicious...except this last time. The food was so highly salted, it was almost inedible. I was so disappointed. I'm almost afraid to try it again when I visit Austin in a few months.

Eating at Habesha brought fond memories of the times I was in Tanzania having Ethiopian food almost every other Saturday. As an avid fan of Ethiopian food, I try to find an Ethiopian restaurant wherever I go. Habesha came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint at all - be it quantity wise or switching couple of dishes around. I had one of their veggie platter - Misir, Shiro Wot and Azifa were so full of flavor - took me right back to Tanzania. Always ask for 'berbere powder' to spice things up. Server was exceptionally happy to give us a free refills of injera a couple of times. Also, having a sweet tooth, we ordered their tiramisu and what a game changer twist we encountered - the tiramisu was brought in FROZEN!!!! Of course, it was super delicious.
