Absolutely delighted with our recent visit to this sushi spot, which proved to be exactly what we were looking for! (This is our second trip to Haiku this week) The restaurant nails the combination of quality, atmosphere, affordability, and exceptional service, making it a must-visit for sushi lovers. The service here is phenomenal. We've had Tanner & Lucas as our servers on our visits, both of whom went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was seamless. First off, the happy hour deals are a steal. The reduced prices didn't compromise the quality or the presentation of the dishes, which is always a concern with discounted offerings. Each item we tried seemed carefully prepared and bursting with flavor. The standout, surprisingly, was the strawberry sake-- a unique twist that was both refreshing and dangerously drinkable. We have had the gyoza, snow crab roll, and snow crab salad - all of which are delicious! For the tuna lovers - get the Tuna Sensation roll! All in all, this restaurant is a gem that offers exceptional value, especially during happy hour. It's the perfect spot for anyone looking to indulge in high-quality sushi without breaking the bank.

Pretty solid. Sushi is fairly priced. Portions are on the larger side. Menu is expansive enough. Service was fantastic. Sushi bar chef and waiter were extremely respectful. There is no exquisite sushi choices as to be expected at this type of restaurant but the sashimi nigiri menu is still quite large. Honey wasabi shrimp were good and fun. They shouldn’t toss the shrimp in the sauce though. Ruins the tempura batter. They come soggy. Accent the plate with the sauce so that customers can see the “gooey green” of the sauce, and provide a small dipping side dish. Tempura is amazing but gets ruined too fast too quickly. I know this is an issue because my tempura shrimp were still very hot but yet the batter was breaking down already. Can’t imagine orders that are hot waiting and customers who don’t rush to eat them right away.

Haiku is our go to date night casual sushi spot. It's located in Southpark meadows it's quiet and a hidden gem. The sushi is always fresh, we usually sit at the bar and chat with the owner who is super sweet and treats us well. The happy hour is great if you can catch it, it's from 5 to 6:30 I believe. We usually like to stop in before we go to a movie. Stop in and show them some love if you are in the area.

The food was alright but the the sushi was lukewarm/room temperature so it was a bit weird when eating. The pricing was high for what're you're getting (it came out to roughly $1 per piece of sushi). The sushi tasted fine but wasn't anything to brag about. The service was fine though they messed up our order and comped us with a salad which was nice, but the salad wasn't that great. The ambiance and vibe of the place was nice but it felt a bit loud since you could easily hear other people around you. Overall this place was okay but the price is definitely not worth the quality of what you're getting.

When I came inside I noticed how clean the restaurant was and how friendly all the staff was . I was extremely sad to hear they haven’t had much buissness in the last year and decided I had to write a review stating all the reason I loved this restaurant and hope anyone who loves Japanese food or sushi come and give this place a chance. Our waitress was extremely kind and very polite . She worked very quickly around us, making sure to collect all the dirty plates and refill our waters on time. The very , kind and polite man who made our sushi was so funny and knew his menu! I loved his conversation and the way he rolled my sushi.I also wanted to throw a compliment to the manager who greeted me quickly and sat me right away!Thank you to the staff! Please come visit them! Make sure you check out their great prices for happy hour and lunch specials as well!Make sure you sit where they roll the sushi’s so you can talk to them and have a great time :)Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly options and lots of seating for large family

Sushi was decent for a neighborhood spot. Prices were appropriate for what was ordered. There was a small mix up on my order but overall would return if I needed a sushi fix.

i am transported back to the 90s once i step in and not in a positive way! the food is delightful but the atmosphere is one of discomfort. the woman sat nearby to me was speaking very loudly of her inappropriate endeavors! cheers!

The sushi here is sooo good. The fish is fresh and melts in your mouth. The tempura is a solid appetizer, though I do wish there were a few more pieces. Service is quick and efficient.

Great visit to Haiku, which feels like a hidden gem in Southpark Meadows. There are lots of other restaurants nearby (fast food, sit down Mexican, Italian, Vietnamese, Indian, etc.), but this is one of the only Japanese spots in the area. We had no trouble getting a table on a Friday evening around 7pm, so thankful we didn't have to wait in a long line or make a reservation. There was also plenty of seating at the sushi bar for those that appreciate a more traditional viewing of the chefs in action. For starters, I recommend the Harimaki as the favorite. For sushi rolls (which, see photos, they are sizable portions), the Longhorn roll was the table favorite. No drinks on this visit, but looks like they've got a solid option of cocktails and Japanese brews to try next time.

This was my first time visiting since I’m from out of town. The service was wonderful, the sashimi was delicious and the atmosphere was peaceful. If you haven’t been there, give it a try! You’ll love it.Wheelchair accessibility: Parking right out front
