“AustinMed Break in South Austin is an absolute gem. The owner, Abduh, cooked the most flavorful beef shawarma plate I’ve ever had. It was perfectly seasoned and packed with authentic Mediterranean flavor. You can tell he genuinely cares about the food and the people he serves. This is hands-down some of the best Mediterranean food in the city, and it easily stands out from the rest. If you’re anywhere near South Austin and want a meal that actually delivers, don’t skip this spot. Highly recommend.“

“We had party order from Sangam for our event during May 14th weekend for 3 courses (1 Lunch and 2 dinner) for about 100 people. Shiva was working with me and helped with the menu making sure none of the courses repeat any items including papad. He made suggestions based on our preferences and also guided us with the count and other details. Each of the delivery was made promptly at the requested time. The food provided was scrumptious and quantity was more than sufficient. Each of our friends were pleased with the food. “Was excited to see this location opened on the south side of Austin. The lamb gyro over rice was just as good as it always is at their Guadalupe location; the flavors are excellent. I've been a big fan of Halal Bros for over a decade, and that dish has been delicious every single time I get it. Highly recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family, and was happy to get the same great quality at this new location.“

“Would highly recommend the gyro wrap. The meat is so juicy and the flavors all come together beautifully. I’ve ordered the gyro plate before and while that may be your best bang for buck because the quantity is a lot, that gyro wrap is unbeatable. I would frequent this place for that alone.“

I tried the Philly cheese steak and it was 10/10 in flavor. Huge portion and even got to try a taco. Will definitely go back when I'm back in town.

“My family reserved Dimassis restaurant (Research Blvd) for 150 guests for a meet & greet function for my new born son. I must say, every single guest enjoyed the experience that Dimassis provided. Abu Ali and Sammy were great hosts. The service was amazing. The food was hot, plentiful , and very delicious. The restaurant was very clean as well. It was a 10/10 experience , a five star experience.“

“I've eaten at alot of Halal Restaurants, and this outshine them all, Ali was very kind and courteous, he showed genuine enthusiasm in making us food, the little patio area outside was very cozy, and made it feel like a restaurant, not to mention the food was absolutely outstanding, you could tell that it was made with care, I don't think either of us took a single breath once we started eating, and when we left, Ali told us how grateful he was for us coming to his food truck. “This was my first time in to pick up. I always order through Favor I believe, or 1 of the delivery apps. Jordan was there and gave me a great customer experience. His hospitality was incredible....we had a large order and he helped me to the car! Food was amazing as usual... the Jalapeño Fish Salad is a favorite and their Fried Chicken is hands down, best in town. Thank You Jordan and Halal Wings for a great lunch today!“

The staff was so fun and friendly that we got so busy chatting I forgot to pay. “To the owner! For a long time, this was the best Halal truck downtown. The last two times I’ve eaten here I got a gyro wrap with nothing but meat, lettuce and white sauce, despite asking for both white and red sauce.

They are no longer toasting the pita bread either.

I hope the quality comes back, I love this truck.“

“This place was really good. It’s affordable and it has a lot of options. I got gyros over rice and it was great. I thought it’d be a wrap with the rice, but it’s just the meat part over the rice. The white sauce was great and you can get as much as you want. My friend got the combo over rice and she liked it. The portion size is also great.“
