“My family reserved Dimassis restaurant (Research Blvd) for 150 guests for a meet & greet function for my new born son. I must say, every single guest enjoyed the experience that Dimassis provided. Abu Ali and Sammy were great hosts. The service was amazing. The food was hot, plentiful , and very delicious. The restaurant was very clean as well. “I worked up the ways from this spot on South Congress for years and never got to try it. Today after a walk in the rain after a concert we needed some food and finally got my chance to try it out.

We didn't want a lot so we asked if he could do some kind of loaded fries and he recommended the gyro meat on the French fries with white sauce and let me tell you it was phenomenal. The fries are extra crispy. The meat was super tender. It was everything I didn't know I wanted and more. Don't wait like I did!“

“We had party order from Sangam for our event during May 14th weekend for 3 courses (1 Lunch and 2 dinner) for about 100 people. Shiva was working with me and helped with the menu making sure none of the courses repeat any items including papad. He made suggestions based on our preferences and also guided us with the count and other details. Each of the delivery was made promptly at the requested time. The food provided was scrumptious and quantity was more than sufficient. Each of our friends were pleased with the food. “I tried this food truck about 3 months ago and meant to post this review a loooooong time ago. The fact that I still think about this place says volumes.

I tried the Philly cheese steak and it was 10/10 in flavor. Huge portion and even got to try a taco. Will definitely go back when I'm back in town.

“If you're craving proper kebabs, this place has you covered. I absolutely love their food and it's fast, fairly priced, and damn good.

Only downside is their patio seating is a bit spartan, especially if it's hot out but it's shaded and they have tables for groups if you want to chow down before you go.“

“I ordered catering from Abu Omar first time. I had eaten at the food truck many times. They really improved their service quality better. And the taste was really great both the gyro and chicken shawarma. And their menu has improved as well. Many more options added. I wanna try this more often

“Halal place near campus that has the usual menu: gyro, chicken, falafel, etc. You order from a tablet at the front counter and then pick it up from there once it’s ready. Definitely seems like most people did takeaway, but they have seating in the restaurant if, like me, you want to eat in. Ordered the chicken shawarma on rice, tabbouleh, and lemonade. Shawarma plate was delicious with the sauces and had lots of meat and vegetables. Tabbouleh was good but it tasted a lot more lemony than I was used to (maybe regional difference thing). Good prices for the amount of food you get. Recommend if you are near UT campus and need a quick lunch.“

Updating my review. I still love the food and it will always be on my go to when I'm on this side of town.
HOWEVER the website was being very slow and made ordering online was not convenient. I tried to call and make and order and was told they don't do orders over the phone with no explanation as to why. Customer service failed today
Love love gyros. While it does take a while to come out, it is because the food is prepared when I order it and it's fresh. It's a place I come to eat consecutively.“
