Super solid chicken plate! Perfectly cooked thighs.

$50 for combo over rice, chicken over rice and hummus. $7 tip automatically included when you order online. I waited 45 minutes and didn’t even get the chicken over rice because their rice cooker apparently “stopped working” Also the order for hummus didn’t even come with pita. That’s like ordering guacamole and not getting chips. This place sucks and is not worth the money there’s so many better places.

Over 30 minute wait for a chicken shawarma with only 8 customers in that 30 minutes. Two workers came in together. First was served and finished before second received his food.

The white sauce was good.
The spicy red sauce was not good. No taste all spicy.

I had the lamb kebab, and felt it could have been better.

3 of us trued for the first time. We didn’t have a huge order and was slow. Counter guy seemed disinterested in us and you order off an iPad. Food was okay, but felt overpriced for what it was. Fries were not great. Felt like a chain and very impersonal. The wraps were good sized but pita seemed bready. I have to say I probably would not go back as there are so many options like Phoenicia deli down the street and several good food trucks. I feel owners need to be on site and perhaps work on improving some of the things mentioned. Wasn’t horrible, but wasn’t great either.

Was excited to see this location opened on the south side of Austin. The lamb gyro over rice was just as good as it always is at their Guadalupe location; the flavors are excellent. I've been a big fan of Halal Bros for over a decade, and that dish has been delicious every single time I get it. Highly recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family, and was happy to get the same great quality at this new location.

Halal Bros on South Lamar was good! The beef shawarma was flavorful and cooked perfectly.

The portions are generous for the price, making it a great value. Inside, it’s clean with plenty of seating, so it’s easy to enjoy your meal comfortably.

Definitely worth a visit!
