Halal Time is my go-to late-night spot in Austin. The service is quick, and their lamb combo never disappoints. The meat is juicy, rice is full of flavor, and the salad is always fresh. Don’t miss the white sauce and spicy sauce combo, it’s perfect. Portions are just right for one person.

Tasty and very friendly
Enjoyed lamb and falafel wrap
I’ve been a regular at Halal Time for several years but the kindness I witnessed tonight will forever keep me coming back.
When I arrived, I unintentionally interrupted what I believe was both men who run the food truck taking their break. One was eating and the other was mid-prayer inside the truck. I waited patiently and once he finished, he kindly took my order.
While I was waiting, a woman approached the truck, gently set all her things down and walked up to the window. Without saying a word, the man handed her a plate of food. No questions asked. Just a simple “Have a great night and stay safe.”
I stood there quietly, watching this small act of kindness unfold. When I offered to pay for her meal, he wouldn’t let me. Just smiled and said, “Next time.”
I’ve been in those situations before and if you haven’t, it can be hard to ask for help. Support Halal Time — their heart is in the right place.

I’ve been to Halal Time several times, and it never disappoints. I usually get the combo plate with falafel and lamb over rice, and it’s honestly the best I’ve ever had. I’ve tried similar spots in other places, but nothing compares—this one is hands down the best. If you’re in town, I highly recommend stopping by!

The plate was smothered in sauce, it was a bit repulsive. Chicken and falafel were cooked well, they serve big portions too, unfortunately I had to throw out the meal as it was tzatziki soup. I don’t get these reviews…

The food here is great, but the customer service has gone downhill. The previous order taker was friendly and professional, but the new one is rude and unhelpful. Disappointing change.

Last week I was picking up an order for doordash. While waiting for the order the owner started a lovely conversation with me and gave me a lamb wrap and water. The food is amazing! I just moved here and had never tried Halal before. I will be ordering for myself often! Thank you for amazing service and being so lovely.
