From the generous plump juicy chicken to southern sides, Hattie B's does not disappoint! Among the best ever if not "the" best tenders you can custom order to heat as well as half bird & wings. Very friendly fun staff - from ordering to food arrival. Bright open airy space. Always a positive atmosphere. My new favorite place for hot chicken

Food was mid to be honest. But it was nice to look at and aesthetic in there. Service was pretty great.

I have become a true Hattie B's fan since they opened last month in Austin! Never before had I had Nashville hot chicken, and this place exceeded my expectations in every way. I've had Hattie B's twice now, both for lunch and dinner, and both in person and to go, and I've been blown away at how high quality and delicious the food is. Both the chicken itself and the sides are incredibly well made, tasting fresh and flavorful with every bite. Not only that, but it's nearly impossible to find a delicious and filling meal for 2 people under $50 in Austin, and this place does it! If you're dining in there's lots of seating both in the interior and outside, though with how busy it's been since opening it might be hard to find a spot at peak hours. The location is great though, and there's plenty of parking behind and by the Walgreens. I also want to call out how friendly the waitstaff was, they were so personable and recommended different items to us our first time dining there. My favorite thing on the menu is the dirty bird fries, which give you everything you could possible want in one dish: fries, Mac n cheese, chicken, pickles, and a yummy sauce to top it all off. The sandwich is also great, the tenders are great, the waffle that you can order on the side is great- it's really hard to find something on this menu that's NOT great!! I'm so glad this place opened up in Austin, and I definitely see myself becoming a regular here.

Not sure what all the hype is about. Friendly counter service. Prices are reasonable. Grab a beer. Stay away from the cocktails...they're terrible. Grab 2 beers, it'll be a minute once you order. Small dark. Hot. Not very hot. It is wet. Kinda like wings? Tenders. More mild than medium. Bland. Chewy. Sides are mediocre. Mac&chz isn't very cheesy, greens are bitter. Cole slaw and the grits were slightly better. They tore down Maria's for this?

Hattie B's is a new fried chicken restaurant open in South Austin, with a selection of chicken sandwiches and chicken wings. When we went, there was a 30-minute line that went out the door. I'm a little confused about the layout of the restaurant because it seems like a hybrid fast food restaurant where you order at the front (instead of sitting down and ordering), but waiters also bring the food to you. The food itself is not bad. We got a three piece and a chicken sandwich meal with sides of fries, collared greens, and cole slaw. The three piece of fried chicken was okay, but probably not worth it considering it was half bones. The chicken sandwich was juicy and the vegetables within it added a crunch of freshness. The sides were decent, and the portion size of the fries is pretty big. Overall, decent establishment with nice wall decor, but a little overhyped at the moment.

Welcome to Austin Hattie B's! I've been once before in Nashville, but many years ago. Today we tried the Watermelon Margarita, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tenders, Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese & Potato Salad. Everything was good! My fav sides were the Mac & Cheese & Potato Salad. The sandwiches were Hot and the Tenders were Damn Hot. That Damn Hot has quite the kick and we can do lots of spicy haha Watermelon Margs ehh I wouldn't order again, but they were refreshing in the moment. I'm a big Tumble 22 fan, which has a very similar menu. Hattie B's was good, but I still would prefer the flavors of Tumble 22. I do love the space though spacious and great outdoor patio. Staff so friendly and accommodating to dogs.

I LOVE HATTIE B'S. I have only been to the one at Cosmo in Vegas and we try to go every time we are there. Now we have one in Austn and I'm beside myself. Soooo good!!!

It is worth the wait, the line was due to the popularity of the food and not the lack of help or efficiency! The chicken was amazing!

Does it live up to the hype? Almost. The sides 100% are the best of any chicken joint in the city and I could eat a platter of them just straight up. The chicken is up there, but given the near otherworldly expectations and the fact at the end of the day Hattie B's is a chain, it does fall a little short. Don't get me wrong, it's real good though. Love the vibes and the modern interior with the crisp red and white everywhere. The menu and swag are on full display when you enter and service is quick. Got a large dark meat with grits and mac and cheese and it's plenty of food for sure. The dark meat is crisp and juicy, even post dunk into the hot oil and spices. I got hot, which was a good amount of heat. There's definitely some sugar action going on in the spice blend that mellows out the burn a bit. Sides are excellent - mac and cheese is perfectly creamy and cheesy. Grits have some slight bacon flavor, cheesy and delicious. Green onion to keep it healthy too. We also got an order of fried pickles to share and they're easily the best fried pickles I've had anywhere. Not greasy but crisp. Parking can suck, but worth the trip!

We ate here yesterday and it was delicious!!! The chicken sandwich and crinkle fries were cooked to perfection. There was no line or wait time for our food around 1pm and the music was on point. We’ll definitely be back. I’d love to have this place in Kyle Tx. Or somewhere further south of Austin.

I was ecxcited about this place, had to go once and didn't end up eating because of the long line. Once i could, and after a long wait, even tho the chicken was still fresh from the frier, well, it was soggy. Very disappointed.
