I’ve gotten custom cookies from Hayley cakes before so I was excited for them to make my daughters 2nd birthday cake. Sadly it was really disappointing when I went to pick it up. It looked nothing like what I had requested (photo 1 cake I got vs photos 2,3 inspiration pictures) I had listed that I wanted the writing to be mint colored and pink as the main color. Instead the writing was a dull blue with a fire engine red number 2 and pink was hardly even used. I never requested red and it wasn’t in any of the photos so I’m not sure why it I as used as the primary color. When I expressed this to the lady there to see if anything could be done to correct it, she was very dismissive and said there were no cake decorators there. She didn’t really offer any solution and gave a half hearted “sorry”. She agreed on my suggestion to give me some pink icing and I was able to fix it up a little at home. Perhaps sending the customer a proof may help to prevent this in the future if you don’t have cake decorators available during business hours to fix things like this.

This place is useless. They never answer the phone (all locations failed to ever answer), causing me to have to come to the shop. Came in on a Monday to order a birthday cake to pick up on a Saturday. The employee, looking at a tablet, told me I couldn’t get a simple cake for another 9-10 days with no kind of effort to accommodate or problem solve and just blindly relying on the tablet. Really lacking in human interaction and customer service.

I wish the cookies in the store were more fresh. I would think that they’d make more money if they just had a limited amount of cookies per day that’s made the day of. The ones that didn’t get sold fast are in stock at least for one week. I went in to get some cookies and they were so dry. I have ordered custom cookies in the past and were so fresh. Now I just never go in and buy, I just order but sometimes I wish I could just go in and buy, with freshness guaranteed.

I ordered myself a cake for my birthday. They were so easy to find when I typed in "Vintage Heart Cakes" on google. Even better, they had pictures and pricing on their website! The website allowed me to pick colors for my cake and there was a spot for me to type in more clarifying details I wanted for my cake. After that all I had to do was choose a pickup date/time and click "order" and pay! It was so easy!
The week of my birthday I decided I wanted a different color for my cake, I emailed them about 5 or 6 days before pick up and they were so quick in getting back to me on my color choices and told me it wouldn't be a problem at all.
I had my husband pick up the cake for me and they gave him a cookie while he waited! The vintage heart cake was everything I had wanted AND more because they added even more detail than I anticipated on the top of the cake. I was so pleased with the cake; it's the prettiest thing ever and I held it up in so many of my photos with friends at my party. Everybody loved it and we enjoyed it later that evening with a small group (about 10-12 people). I ordered a small vintage heart strawberry cake which came with a strawberry jam filling; it was delicious and moist!
10/10 cake on ease of ordering, easy pickup, beautiful decoration, and great taste! Would love to order from them again in the future. Thank you for making a 36th birthday girl so happy!

I ordered a 2-tier birthday cake for my husband’s 50th birthday. It was a custom Boba Fett cake and although it tasted delicious, I feel like the cake decoration was on the “plain” side. I guess I assumed it would be more detailed for the price + tip. Maybe some glitter or more stars or even little Star Wars ships could’ve been drawn on the galaxy layer to make it worth the high price.
Went into the store location to place an order for a birthday cake. I was the only customer and both employees were just hanging out behind the counter. When I told them I wanted to place a cake order, the girl told me to place the order online. I explained that I was in the store to place the order, and she reiterated that I should do it online. It was bizarre to me that she would rather have me leave the store and not make the sale, but fine.
I went home, filled out the order form, and included an example picture of the cake design I wanted. They responded saying they could not do the design, but they could create a cake using the same theme. No other details were provided. I wrote back asking if they had any example pictures or details of what they would do. Their response - “We don’t.” Ummm okay.

i went in to this location on my birthday(saturday) to visit the store for the first time. i was looking to try something other than a cookie(because you can get those at certain heb’s and i had already tried them.) i’m not sure if it was the time of the day but there wasn’t a whole lot left at about 2 pm. what irked me and the other person i was with, was that upon being greeted by the employee on the other side of the case - she followed us along as we moved back and forth, back and forth along the case looking at the items. i didn’t even want to take a photo of the pretty wall for my photo memories, i just wanted to leave quickly. we finally decided on the brookie, would i buy it again? no. if you’re reading this, opt for the brownie instead of the cookie cake.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and the presentation was outstanding. The delivery was right on queue. The cake tasted fantastic, the guests loved it.
