So we get here at 1:10 am on Thursday and they say last call is at 1. So Friday we go. I ring the bell they let us in. Its12:15. They see my black husband and now say last call is 12. Soooo last call Friday night is earlier than Thursday? And you let me in now before telling me it’s last call but the night before you don’t let us in due to being later than last call??? Racist much? It’s ok? Weed out clientele willing to pay money for drinks. Not some teenagers. Actually employed patrons. We can take our money elsewhere

Came in with a reservation and was seated immediately. Despite sitting at the bar and attempting to make eye contact with the bartenders, I sat there nearly 30 Minutes before eventually flagging down a waitress and asking to place an order. (Meanwhile, the bartender helped the couple next to me to a second drink). Service improved after that and drinks were super unique and well balanced, but at the price point, service leaves much to be desired

We have always LOVED HNT! We came here for a lot of celebrations when me and my husband were dating, engaged and married. The drinks are amazing and the service is incredible. Some general feedback is we have never felt rushed here but this time we did. First off our drinks took awhile which didn’t feel normal for them. I saw one of our drinks sitting there for a while. The check was brought 15 minutes early but we wanted to order one more drink that we get to share everytime we come here! Then… at 6:58 we were told we needed to leave (our reservation ended at 7!) we were just chatting for one minute and we knew our time was almost up but to be told “we need this table asap” was pretty weird, we’ve probably been here more than 20 times and this is the first time I would say we felt rushed and it left us feeling bummed because it felt rude from a place we’ve come to love for so many years. We will definitely keep coming but think that’s definitely an area of improvement! It sucks to feel rushed. We knew our reservation was ending and in all our years coming we’ve never been rushed like that.

This was such a cool experience from start to finish! Entering with the keypad was really fun, and walking down the stairwell to see a giant bear set the tone right away. We were greeted with complimentary Prosecco and seated in a cozy little booth. The cocktail menu was creative, inspired by this year’s Lone Star Fair, and everything we tried was great. The staff were friendly and the whole experience was so much fun!
Great bar! Dark, chilled vibes with a smooth mix of R&B beats. On arrival, you’re greeted with a glass of bubbles and shown to your table, such a lovely touch.
We had Eileen as our server and she was absolutely wonderful, friendly, attentive, and on the ball. The moment your glass was nearly empty, she was right there to check in. The service was genuinely outstanding.
The drinks were smooth, beautifully balanced, and very easy to drink. You do need to book via their app to get an access code for entry. We didn’t realise this at first and luckily ended up at In Plain Sight (the small intimate bar above), where the bartender kindly helped us secure a reservation.
We went on a Sunday night and got lucky, but I’d highly recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. And definitely stop by In Plain Sight for a pre-drink. Their cocktails are next level!

What is more welcoming than a bear with champagne to cleanse the pallet? I’ll tell ya! Aidan. He was the best bartender. He was full of the best recommendations of places to eat and drink in Austin, as well the best drink maker. The hospitality was top notch, The drinks at this place are some of the best we have ever had - and we come from a drinking town. 12/10 highly recommend visiting this place. So cool to find down an alley, and have one of the best bar experiences for a vacation. Thank you!!
