Be careful if you open a tab at this place, and read your receipt closely. They are happy to double charge you by adding a 20% gratuity without telling you or posting that anywhere, and then the receipt has the common "Tip Suggestions" calculated and printed at the bottom near where you sign.Not only is 20% high when there was no real service provided, such as a server at a restaurant, or taking your order before standing at the bar for 15 minutes trying to get their attention.But since the service was actually very slow and not very good, I was feeling like 20% would be the maximum added, ad probably less considering they were just serving pre-made drinks, where $1/drink is fair and $2/drink is quite generous.But the fact that they then intentionally try to mislead and trick you into giving them more money by secretly adding in 20%, then giving you a non-itemized receipt with 3 Tip Suggestions at the bottom, for 20%, 25% and 30%, right by where you sign.Because I didn't catch it, I apparently paid about $22 in gratuity for a $52 tab. $6 would have been fair, and $10 would be generous. Yet they felt the need to trick me and countless other patrons into giving them $22 to hand me 6 drinks that I had to wait around for a long time to even get.I thought it was an ok place, but now I won't ever step foot in there again because of this intentional dishonestly. The owner should be ashamed.

Fun bar with pool tables! Nice to be in a local bar type atmosphere instead of a tourist trap. Bartender was excellent!

Great bar with pool tables and couches that trim The walls. Drinks are reasonably priced and great bartenders. We went on a Monday night so we had the whole place to ourselves. They said they do $1 margaritas on Sunday. The bathrooms are great bc of the photos of the owner. Make sure to look if you have to use the restroom.

My fiancé and I had stopped into Higbies after Small Victory around the corner. The drinks at SC were a grand disappointment; and after sharing our experience with Kelli behind the bar, she hospitably made us feel right at home and made us an old fashioned. We had a nice time and met some regular patrons also. We discovered that Higbies is an industry bar where other workers from other bars like to go and meet and get a drink after they get off work.Kelli is the real deal and we could tell and affirm that all the other patrons enjoyed her welcoming, hospitable, and professional service.
Pool is free and the drinks were great! I highly recommend their old fashioned, their espresso martini, and the

We came for the first Sunday special, dollar margs! Real neat space. They had tvs playing football, good music, and they have two pool tables too! Love the interior ceiling lights with the plants. A lot of greenery which i loved! The bar has good options, variety. But me thing I though was weird was that the bartender didn’t give me receipt to sign, or tip. Limited parking in the street, but remember Sundays are free!

This place is amazing! Been coming here for a bit now… just strolled right in. I highly recommend it. They have a pool table and cozy seats. It’s a clean elevated spot. The service is phenomenal and the drinks are great!

I randomly discovered Higbie's a few months ago when I saw on IG that they're doing $1 margaritas on the first Sunday of the month. The bar was steady but not busy and I got to know the bartenders Ty & Kelly. Absolutely love them. Have been back a few times and some nights are super slammed for the promo, which is less fun for you're just trying to get your $1 drink on lol. But Ty and Kelly and the others are always hustling and will get you taken care of. The bar itself is in a weird spot so I don't really know how they do on days that aren't the first Sunday of the month. Hope they stick around for awhile!
