Old, musty and the service is Dusty. I did not get to check out the food. I had a question regarding if there was a menu. I asked the lady in the front with an earpiece in the ear, if they had a website, she asked me what I wanted and I said, I like to see what the food looks like. She was annoyed and spatted out the website. The place was completely empty, I looked at the website, it had no pictures. She asked what I wanted I said, the garden burger. She asked in a condescending way.. That’s it, you’re just gonna get something with no meat? I told her, I don’t see any pictures so yes. She says, well it’s very simple here.. we serve burgers what do you want in a rude tone. I said well, Since i don’t see any pics on your website, i’m good with what i chose and add in fries. She says, Well it’s not that difficult. I said, it isn’t difficult, I’m just being patient and taking my time with what I ordered.. She begins to tell me that they’re a small mom and pop.. and blah, blah, blah… I said you know what, Thanks but, I was just going to test out your food so I can bring in my construction team for lunch. So, maybe next time, just be patient because you just missed out on a whole lot of business. She was either miserable, or the owner, or a member of the owner’s family or just hates the people she works for because she put her attitude first over bringing in revenue to the business. Another possibility is she might have been racist. Silly Silly. Good luck to whomever goes here.

Great burger reminded me of a much higher quality burger king. Staff was friendly, portions were plenty big and the price was fair. Definitely somewhere I'd go back and grab some lunch.

Stopped in on a whim simply bc it had good reviews and easy parking. Wow! What an amazing little spot! It’s giving down home old fashioned burgers and fries. They even have kool-aid (something I haven’t had since childhood)! Great prices, friendly staff and great vibes. Will return next time we are in town!

We just want to thank Tina and her Dad for a wonderful visit. So nice to talk to. The history of this place the passion Dad has for his family, The food and the tradition. This place is a hidden gem worth every minute of time eating and chatting with Tina. Consistency old school charm amazing flavor attention to the details. If you are in Austin and you pass on this place your taste buds will hate you. Thank you for the history of your amazing burger. Stop by and enjoy a Great meal and say high to Tina and her Dad.
It's been a long time since I've dined at Hillberts, but due to businesses still closing early i decided to check them out. I wanted some chili cheese fries and was not disappointed. The chili is mild but has flavor and they are generous with the portion. My order hit the spot. The burger was okay. Next time a chili cheese fry craving hits I'll definitely return here for them. The staff was friendly and my food was hot and fresh.
Being new to Austin area and coming from state where beef is the staple of Nebraska. I will say the best quality beef I have had in Texas. I had the bacon cheese burger and with price I expected a small burger I will admit I was wrong the perfect size burger to fill you up bacon cooked to perfection fresh ingredients and not having ketchup on a burger and not having to ask for it taken off made the experience better only true foodies will know ketchup is the worst condiment. I am disappointed in Texans suggesting Whataburger over this establishment only reason for a four star review is I had it more on the cold side I'm sure it I ate inside the establishment it would be a 5 star and I will update after I return best burger I have had in Austin dose not break the top ten burgers in my life but may once I eat it fresh.
This is the most stupidest restaurant I’ve encountered. My first biggest regret is not taking a picture!!! I ordered cheese fries and upon receiving it I told my husband this feels cold. Took the foil paper off .. shredded cheese, COLD shredded cheese! Drove back through the drive thru and handed it back and the “claimed owner”took it from us and went in the back , came back n showed us melted cheese on the fries. I guess I was born yesterday 😑 He then Called us a liar and told us never to come back… I promise u we WONT ! No wonder your line is ALWAYS empty. With that attitude and customer service u will get no where in life.
Old school burgers with real beef, big fries always perfect. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere.
