The service is friendly and accommodating, the vibe casual and fun. We had the Adult Happy Meal and had nothing but praise for all of the components: Old Fashion, hamburger and fries. Between the six of us we ordered three desserts. The cheesecake was excellent. Unfortunately the creme brule was runny and room temp and the chocolate mousse lacked real chocolate flavor. Overall, we loved our dining experience and will definitely return.

We went for the $25 Sunday steak special and it was amazing! We were greeted swiftly at the door and sat down for our reservations. Food and drinks were on our table quickly. All of the staff were very friendly and observant to our needs.

- Waiter was simply unacceptable. Just disappeared for like 45 minutes at a time to the point where we had to go track someone down. Then he'd just randomly show up and make some weird pharmacy related joke that just left us all scratching our heads. We had to go track down a waiter just to get plates and silverware. And this was AFTER appetizers. That's right, after like an hour they finally brought us appetizers and then walked away without realizing that we had no plates or silverware to eat off of. - Got my drink order incredibly wrong to the point where the entire table just broke out in laughter when he walked away. I clearly said martini and was right next to him. He even asked for clarification TWICE. Brought me a margarita instead. Would have been hilarious if that was the only issue. - We were an 8 top and they sat us outside right next to a literal dance party. Zero warning (made the reservation a few days prior). They kept the doors wide open to the section where the party was happening. None of us could hear anything except the party. Crazy. - Total and complete lack of situational awareness by the guy who I assume was the manager? Seemed to have no clue that there was an 8 top seated right next to an actual party with the music on blast or that we had to literally go track down anyone who looked like they worked there if we wanted any hope of even getting a fork. Hate writing something like this. Been going there for years and we need more places like it, but that was unacceptable.

I've been coming here for years and it's never let me down. I'm so glad Hillside Farmacy has endured the challenges of the growth and economic ecosystem in Austin. Always welcoming staff, never with an attitude or judgmental reception, these folks always make you feel welcomed. We always have the burgers with malt fries but we chose Trout and Pasta in this visit...fabulous. The cocktails were excellent and made with care and of course the ambience and decor continues to be inspiring. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!
Three of us visited this restaurant early on a Saturday evening. It's an interesting place with a lot of history in Austin. The food was good and we had a good time. Prices were reasonable. I'd go back if I'm ever staying in that part of town again.
