The worst service ever. The restaurant was not super busy. The waitress that served us was the worst ever. The food was delicious. But the service was horrible. She check on twice. We had to ask the expeditors for extra drinks , water and etc. I wanted dessert. She never checked on us. We sat directly in the middle of the restaurant. Literally the worst service ever 4-14-24

Nice place with very good food, but they simply don’t have enough staff to serve the number of people that they seat. The last few times I’ve come here, I’ve had to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated, another 20 to get menus, and then 30+ minutes for my food. Simply not worth it unless they can hire more staff.

Love the concept but the food was was ok. Service was pretty bad. Our server wasn't able to answer any questions we had about menu items, had to correct what she was able to answer and then messed up our bill. Wasn't a bad experience - just not inspiring us to return

First visit to Texas and steaks were lackluster for advertised Sunday steak night. Either week-old meat that hadn’t been used, not great cuts of beef, barely seasoned. Had to send back, which I HATE doing. Atmosphere was great- slow service but it was training day. Crew was exceptionally nice, just slow. Charcuterie was good but mild, so go if you have an extremely resistant palate or anti/flavor.Wine was good, go for that and apps.

Just an outstanding restaurant! They have excellent food, service, ambiance and music. We have to be in Austin annually and this just became a must stop.

Quaint ambience and a cute place with history. The menu is limited and not pricey if you compare to to mot brunch spots, I got a sandwich and it tasted fine. I would visit again if I stayed closer to this spot.

Five stars for atmosphere, because this is a very unique and original place. Loving the oak bar which has an East Coast feel, the faux leather seating and yellow and turquoise color scheme. But wait folks, the food is beyond insulting. We came in at 5 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday and the three beautiful servers were just that: beautiful, but completely unaware of the food they were serving and the ingredients therein. Like mascots they might bring in the crowds, but they certainly won’t keep me there. The reason being is that if this is supposed to be somewhat French, then the chef has no idea what he’s doing or perhaps never took cooking classes. Certainly he did not attend any lauded school such as the the Culinary Institutue of America because if he did, he would understand what a tartine is.What was served in its place was incredulous - a piece of ciabatta bread, pretending to be a bruschetta not a tartine with three tiny cherry tomatoes that were grilled and burnt with literally one piece of goat cheese that was split into three globs. I have never in my life seen something like this. And guess what? I never will again because you’ll have to drag me to get me in the door of this less than qualified eatery.

(I liked my meal here better than Paperboy, shh don’t tell anyone). Got the big brekkie with a side of fruit. Everything tastes great and the lightly dressed greens were perfect to cleanse the palate. Great, subtle iced tea. Got seated right away at the bar. No complaints.

Had Brunch Sunday and enjoyed the steak and eggs with white toast it was great. My wife had the granola n yogurt with mixed fruit she left an empty bowl, so I guess she loved it? For dessert, we split the panacakes with a blueberry marmalade that was my favorite part of the meal it is a must-have.Hillside Farmacy is a nice quaint place that has a 1940s or older vibe.Go now, before it gets too hot to sit in the patio area, indoor sitting is limited.
