Overall it was a good 1st visit to the restaurant. We arrived right as the doors opened, so it was really quiet and the staff was attentive. The food and portions were very good for the price. We will definitely be back for a few other menu items we had our eye on.
Solid drinks and good food! Service a tad slow but everything was worth the wait. Deviled eggs as starters was the weakest item of the night. Truffle fries were good, hot, crunchy. Oxtail entrees, catfish / both blackened & fried were favorites of the night. Loved the sauce served on the fish, very flavorful. The oxtail mac&cheese is super rich and for that reason is probably better as a side than an entree. Greens were bursting with flavor, maybe a bit too much for some...
Visited here the day after Christmas with family. The dining section is quite small, maybe ten tables, but the decor and atmosphere is nice. Many things were unavailable- no cornbread, some accompanying food items (chimichurri), no desserts. That was crazy. Two people ordered lamb chops that were overcooked. On more than one occasion the server forgot drinks that we ordered. The catfish and snapper dishes were good, however. We were visiting from out of state, so we likely will...
